  1. Hahaha, very funny....and sadly....very true!!!
  2. Hi Admin, I've contacted a few moderators and other Admin about this but have not received any reply yet. I thought I'd just post it here. I am trying to get upgraded (to support and to list a watch), but because I don't have a credit card, I can't use the system. Therefore, if someone could PM me the address, it would be great. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.
  3. Whether it's in the movie or not, the one you posted looks great!! Downloading I Am Legend as we speak, so I'll comment on it tomorrow! Good night!
  4. Hahaha, some of these HAVE to be made up though!!
  5. Wow, think I may nearly have lost interest in this.....
  6. A job well done then mate!
  7. So females don't have the guts to try it ey?
  8. Hahaha, I have a dupont for exactly that reason. I may be a student, but cigars are a must! Please let me know as well what they can get (and whether authentic). I'm in Venezuela now, where they have the good stuff (though still pricey) but will be in England for term-time....which is when cravings kick in even more!! Thanks!
  9. Damn, you're making me more nervous than if it were my watch!!
  10. Is it all gold (the case) or gold/ss, like the bezel being gold, the rest steel? Really interested in the pics!
  11. The one with all the diamonds is called The Million Dollar Big Bang. Only one was supposed to be made. But they made 4 more, totaling 5 Million Dollar Big Bangs world-wide.
  12. Oh man, if this thing's real and 18kt...wow...goldmine is an understatement, lol.
  13. Breitling. Really don't like the Omega and love the Breitling!
  14. Yea I need to start buying some watch mags. Quite expensive at uni though!
  15. VERY funny!
  16. Thank you Jetsons. I think he may like it with a white dial, looks very nice, thanks for sharing. I saw the chrono one on Timezone today, listed for 1.25k usd with papers, box and steelband. It looks very nice I must say!
  17. Very nice. I really like it but don't think he'll go for the squarish design (he's not too fond of my ex-Panerai 183 either). Speaking of the rep, it looks very nice!! Thanks for posting TTK.
  18. WOW Victoria, Thanks so much!! Indeed, you got it spot on. I want to change my father's ways (he doesn't care much for expensive watches, because, well....they're expensive!) Also, I want to give something back to my father, something that he will always have with him, reminds him of me, his work, and whatever else he thinks of, haha. I like the Longines you posted, but I prefer it on leather. The one Andy posted with the big date and the first one I posted is the direction I want to go in, I think it would really compliment my father's style. He absolutely hates gold, really. So that's really out (I know, there's quite a few nice subtle ones out there, but he won't appreciate it). I really dont like Ebel/Rado/Movado, etc and I reckon my father wouldn't either. I really want something that I am proud of to give my father. He'll be wearing it a lot I'm sure, whatever watch it will be!! Thanks again! EDIT: Sorry for changing the rating I gave you V, I had "thanks" first but figured that wasn't enough. I then wanted to add "useful" but it replaced the "thanks". So I just changed it to "gold star", lol.
  19. Andy, I was just about to post that one! Looks great indeed. Especially on leather. The spirit one is unique, but I don't think my father would go for it. I hope I would be able to do the tax free thing in England. I wonder what it would be (price wise). Thanks for contributing your thoughts!!
  20. Oh man, that last one......ouch.....
  21. I'd prefer a watch that comes with a box, warrenty, etc from a known brand. Longines looks great in my opinion. In terms of price. I reckon up to 1.5k dollars. Thanks for the comment though! P.S. Love that avatar of yours. EDIT: BEFORE I FORGET!! 40mm is the absolute limit! Otherwise he won't even wear it with pleasure, haha.
  22. You too my friend! It's 30 degrees here in Venezuela, what a change!
  23. So my father is retiring next year and I want something nice to show my appreciation of his hard work and reward him a bit...and what better way than with a watch! (He wears a Swatch....painful, I know, haha) I have found two Longines that I really like. Any other recommedations? An IWC or Patek would be great....but it would help if I had the money for one!! Anyway, I like this model (they aren't cheap) but I have time to snoop around for deals! This one is nice, found it on Timezone on steel band....but I prefer the one above. He likes conservative watches. No gold, no bling, no thick watches, just a simple/elegant watch! The La Grande Classique ones are too simple I reckon, I want something that has presence, but an elegant one, hence the Master Collection ones as featured above. I prefer leather straps over steel bands, it suits him better and fits simple watches more I think. Any help would be great!
  24. All good thanks! Yep, got one term behind me and really enjoying it now. Took a while to adjust but it's all good now. I'm currently at home for christmas, then exams in january. So I'm studying, seeing friends, etc!
  25. I hope I am missing some kind of joke here
