  1. Just got the Beginmariner from Josh this week. I have never been a huge fan of the modern Rollies, preferring the 5513 over all others. But, this winter I got the modern Rollie "bug". It all started with TTK and his terrific Noobmariner pics. I really wanted another watch, but I had to lay low as I had just got a PO months earlier. Lucky for me, my wife's Yachtie died, and she wanted something new. Enter Josh and Perfect-clones :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I ordered and 4, yes 4, days later I got the goods!

  2. In the sake of interest, I thought I should scan then entire Explorer page from the brochure. It seems to me that the black face explorer GMT hand looks a different tint.

sorry for the size, but I didn't want to resize the image and lose resolution.

    edit...inserted new pic.

  3. Alright, I'll bite...

Last winter I bought an Asian Yachtmaster for my wife. Fit and finish were excellent, except someone crossthreaded the caseback. If the watch was unworn for the afternoon and evening, it would need winding. Then, last month, the whole thing cratered. Because of the caseback, I couldn't get into it. I didn't even get 1 year out of it.

I have nothing against Asian autos. Most of mine are. This is the only one I had problems with.

  4. You can bolster your young manhood all you want but you too shall succumb to the wonders of a "hot chick"

and you will do it without ever realizing it unitil finally your walking through a mall holding her purse. j/k

Exactly! Things will be going terrific...sex will be plentiful, until one day, you are sleeping on the edge of a king size bed with your wife in the middle wearing flannel granny pajamas!

A happy wife is a happy life! Words to live by.

  5. I have drilled lugholes on a non-hole silix sub. It is not fun.

I used an 18volt drill on the lowest speed setting, HSS bits, and lots of 3 in 1 oil. I took the movement and crystal out of the watch and slowly drilled from the exsisting springbar hole outwards. This takes a long time and extreme amount of patience. The trick is to try and get the drill straight (between the lugs) to the case.

I also use a small vise to hold the watch case in place.

    Good luck!

  6. I think he and Joshua are going to produce a "Perfect" vintage series, and I suspect that this is just part of the prototype from what they told me. I don't think they actually have these for sale yet, as I think they are going for completely mod vintage watches with real parts, but you would have to ask them what they are up to.

    That is good news!

Very nice Comex...can't wait for the finished product.
