sorry Steph, Do MBK 16610 come with big tube ang like Gen Crown jet in?? Out of the box? My MBW16610 not, for sure........... Take please in count Steph, the the guy asked for no moding needed watch to get gen parts.

To indentificate MBW is simple: The stamped POLEX intead of ROLEX beteen the lugs. The stamped SHITINERLAND in the case back.

But It accept..........Only insert ( with some litle mods) and case back !! That's the bud MBW watch on the market. BMW there are sure around beter and cheper 16610.

MBW or WM9 or SSD I suppose not........ All this are based on good 2836-2 ETA jet. nothing is easy and nothing is cheap.......... on profy reps!

I'm not big expert, but without modding nothing on the watch you can: Vintage - 1665 MBW and 1680 MBW = (accept Gen. Crystal, Crystal reataining ring, bezel, insert and case back; for tube and crown need modding ) Modern : - WM9 Z-16610 = (accept Gen. Crystal, bezel , insert , retaining crystal ring, case back, tube and crown ) - SSD 16600 = (accept Gen. insert and crown; for tube light modding is needed )

Ok, if you can, I sent to you mine too. The GEN SD have one crystal retaining ring that is not present in SSD. The crystal is only pressed in position, so it has one different edge shape than the GEN one. Unfortunately the SSD is NOT 1:1 construction.

The Gen crystal do not fit in SSD........for sure!

Hi BK, I do not know the measure of the crystal, but I know that my Gen SD height is 14,85mm, my Rep SSD is 15,40mm. So the difference is 0,55mm . I think that one 0,50mm lighter crystal would be ok for ssd.................

On Ebay there are not rep like that one.

I tested it too! It works perfectly, and the claps now stay closed. Only the extension now do not stay stopped in closed position when I open the bracelet. But this is minus problem, now I can wear it! Thank you for this TIP Mrandazzo!

Are 3 days long that I'm using my MW9 . I can tell you that I was kindly impressed by the GEN feeling that this REp can get to the user. To get one example: Rotating the bezel the "Click Click" is like gen , nothing to get in paragon to the "ClanG ClanG" that my MBW did out of the box . Screwing the crown, it's gently braked by the big o-rings that get their works, that's like in my Gens. Just to get you one paragon, when I received the MBW (out of the box), I used it 5 minutes ...............and I decided to mod it. This one, after 3 days, I feel it like "my Rep watch". I'm in accord with you guys that some particular have to be inproved in this WM9 too, but jet out of the box it's really good.

@ Tribal: No I do not shape the gen insert, it fit perfectly but I glued one bit for safety. @By-tor : I'm in accord with you. It's impossible to update MBW to that point because the Crystal retaining system in MBW is only on pressure. Here, to get you idea I get some pictures of my working progress MBW modding: Gen Crown Gen TUBE Gen Retaining bezel Ring Gen Bezel ring Gen insert Ps: To get the gen. retaining bazrl ring I get on a lathe the case to leave out the edge around the glass support . I then added space to the retaining bezel ring to fit on MBW case and glued it in place with the gen spring . Wile all this work can not reach BMW the WM9 quality one! In WM9 the retaining bezel ring, it'is really working to take the crystal in the correct and sealed position, and under the retaining ring, on the WM9, like in Gen, is located one BIG o-ring too. That's the starting MBW case: Gen tube and Gen crown: Retaining ring in position with the 'Clic' spring. That's the case finished. I have not get the novement jet becouse I'm waiting for one Noob dial. To see: the perfect crystal/rehaut merging The bud thing for all this two watches is that the position of the steam is always not correct! They use 2836-2 movement. I think that to solve it, we have to pass to the 2892 or....................... to get Gen 3135.
