well I was 100% sure that I was going to buy one next week and now I just don't know...I don't see people talking about the aquatimer with enthusiasm, so I think I'll go instead for the hublot BB....but boy, I'd love to have a IWC but, cousteau is too expensive when you have the aquatimer which is very similar...the portuguese (my fav) has a crooked movement, so I'll got o Hublot for the meantime cheers

Thks all for the help Vic, thks for such a great imput regarding all three. I think you have convinced me in going for the BB and I do agree with you, the BB can be both Suit material as well as sportswear I'll will look at the AP, which is also a company that I like a lot again thks for the help Cheers P.S. Thks, great to be in the gang hehe

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a watch next week, but I simply cannot decide which one... I love IWC, and I would have a portuguese if the movement were not prone to prblms, so my other 3 and final choices are between: 1. IWC Aquatimer Chrono Slevin. 2. Hublot BB SS - Lite version. 3. Tag Heuer Carrera Limited edition. Of the 3 I would buy the aquatimer, but I have read recently in some threads that people don't think it has enough qual to be considered a super rep. I love the BB and the Tag also, but I find the tag might be lacking a bit of presence and the BB might have too much... so: Which one would you choose and what do you consider to be the one with the best qual. ? Thks for your thoughts cheers

Are you a 'classic' watch person, or a 'modern' enthusiast?
cleobis replied to mezzanine's topic in General Discussion
hmm...I'm more of a classic watch guy, but I also like the HBB:) I just don't like the gold and diamands and all the bling in watches, also don't like rolex. I must admit that I never understood what all the thing about rolexes are....I can't find them nice, sorry Pam is a good choice between classic and modern looks -
Yeap, I've sent a lot of stuff between portugal and the uk (I studied in london for a year) and never had any prblms, so I will give "1st choice" to EU dealers cheers

I would love to say yes,but everywhere I read people say it WILL fail sooner or later which is a shame as it is a watch that I love and just waiting for any news regarding the movement so that I can buy one....please, someone come up with a solution to this movement as I'm sure the guy who does it will have a LOT of business increase because I think there is a lot of people not buying this rep due to its movement prblms...

Hi, after reading victoria's thread about Lange, I started to look for a good rep (which I know is almost impossible), I've seen some ok and the say they have working moon fase....I thought no rep had proper working moon fase...so: Are these reps true in saying the moon fase dial actually works or is it just bs? thks all
-
I WAAAAAAAANNTTT OOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEEEEE
-
I just looove those rally straps....just need a watch to go with one of those cheers
-
hmm...when I first saw the black dial one with the rubber strap the 1st thing that came to mind was HBB meets A.P...so...not bad looking,m but I think it misses some certain hidden attribute to make it "special"...just my 2 cents... cheers
-
Well, that would be great, though right now I'm more of thinking in getting into the German/austrian market...let's see but, if I ever go to the Florida Grand Opera, I'll be sure to let you know... cheers

Great topiv victoria (and all the other that contributed, of course)...also great pics I also love Lange, but as with the rest of us here (I think) it's just a bit over my league, for now, but finding a good rep would be awsome to wear... Although I don't wear my reps to show-off, when you have such a special watch in your wrist like a lange you secretloy want someone to notest that it is a lange in your wrist, but as said before, those are probably the same people that will know imediately that it is a rep, so it's a bit a catch 22 thing... In my case I think I might get away with it, I'm a classical singer and as I move a lot and meet almost allways new people in every concert, they don't know for sure if I could get one or not...lol... cheers

Being a German car you should not worry about it braking up, as it most probably wont....that's the good thing about buying proper cars Great Car, I love the Rs4, but I'm still in love with the mid 90's Porche version one....In any case I would probably buy the BMW M5, but that's me as I'm a BMW man cheers

Hi, I'm still wating for my Pam111H, but in the meantime I decided I would probably need another strap...So I bought this one, what do you guys think? I like it, just hope it is as nice as what it looks like....I'll post some more pics when I get the watch and the strap together:) cheers
