On the silver sticker, the text is indented.
I really doubt that! True some older Rollies had the sticker feature which was nicely cut out in the round moon-like shape to exactly fit the rotor. This made it look like it was engraved. I haven't seen that feature anymore for some while now. Most rotors are nicely engraved nowadays and so is this nickel plated version I think.

Probably not. Some are mounted with screws, some are press fitted. Besides that the 'wings' between deployments often have different shapes. E.g. I have a broken deployment laying around but I can clearly see that the wing won't fit due to the fact it has a slightly different shape....

it's very hard to only regulate some seconds out of it.
The answer is: tapping. If you see it move you tapped too hard. Just give it a firm tap. Set time accoring to an atomic clock on-line, wear it and time again after exactly 24h. Proceed untill you get it right. Years back before I got involved in watchmaking I always did it like that and it worked like a charm. Sure it sometimes takes a full week before you get the desired result but ... who cares
Good luck.

Better than those nose hair tweezers ey

GUYS GUYS!.... I think the rep looks very good. Due to the poor lighting the case is being under exposed. The black reflections make the case look like it has the wrong shape. I bet that if this was photographed by a member it would look mighty fine!!! Take a close look. You can see the fat case and the crown sinking in it. Just like the gen. The black reflection makes it all look weird.

Andrew told me the current one, with the platinum plated bridges is the final version.

Andrew told me just yesterday the current one, with the platinum plated bridges is the final version.

I have the old and latest plus a couple of gens so I will take some pics over weekend.
Again? ... last time I waited for months

Great job!!! Knew you could do it

Well a couple of pointers for the noob's out there:
Never listen to Andy, white spirit is the way to go
No seriously. Bummer! thanks for the info.

The spring is usually a bit bend. Not as much as on your pic though.

For those who know about 7750s, a quick question before i pull it down... is there anything particularly tricky or unforseen under that plate? Like, this isn't one of those parts that bits fly out from the movement once removed is it?
Yes, this bridge is the trickiest bridge of the entire movement. A lot of things have to be taken in to account. First of all the hammer spring needs to be removed. Otherwise all the parts will fly across the room. Besides that you probably have to reposition the tilting pinion, hammer and clutch before placing the bridge back on. If you've never done that before and don't have the right tools, tweezers etc. you will have a hard time getting it back together. Go for it if you have nothing to loose. Otherwise have an watchmaker look at it.

It's been transplanted into another watch
This noob sub has been "on the list" for over a year now. When the insert fell out, the only way I could get it back on was to remove the bezel. That was my first introduction to never remove a noobmariner bezel!!! I bent it quite badly. Got another noob case, but the bezel was still attached and I bent that one too.
Finally I had it this week and started working on it again and I managed to straighten it out successfully and got the insert re-installed. Now I just need a movement and a pearl
Ah okay. You could look into the ultimate clones Angus is selling?...

+ 1 what Andy said. Try the little spring.
But it highly unlikely that the little spring caused the main spring to unwind. Maybe 1/2 a turn but not completely as the click holds the main spring in place (large arm at 11 o'clock).
Are you sure the reversing and the reduction wheel are properly seated in the jewels? Could be the 'clicky resistance' comes from the gear teeth not properly engaging.
Let us know how it goes.

Question for the pro's here. First off, I have a gen insert on a noobmariner that has a pearl that was cracked and then fell out. I remember that there was a really good pearl replacement, but I can't remember the store/eBay seller that had them. Was it Watch Material or something like that?
Also, does anyone have a spare 2836-2 lying around?
I have the correct DW with overlay, so I just need a working movement for this guy.
Thanks!
Yep, Watch Material. Don't know anymore if he is a seller on the bay? What's wrong with the current 2836?

You know you shouldn't use ultrasonic cleaners for contemporary watch movements as they strip the anti-friction epalam coatings. Vibrasonic cleaners are the way to go
Oh really?...

let's keep it underground
PS: WTF is that Twitter symbol doing in my full editor....

Nice. Maybe I'll get to see it in real life.

If this is for real I kinda find it inappropriate to post those pics here.

EDIT: Is this what you mean?
Could very well be. I used a Dutch-English translator and it said:
Wasbenzine = White spirit/ refined petrol.
-
Broken or gummed up reversing wheels. Although ETA states not to wash them, I always give them an Ultra Sonic clean when dirty. After that hand winding is smooth as butter. If you don't have an US cleaner you can use some white spirit. Just leave them in for 5 minutes.

So what? Dealers themselves are posting on Youtube and all the Social Media. Replica's are going main stream and dealers are just screaming for attention. Let's see how long this will last....

Well, movements adjusted to +6~8 sec/day in one position run almost Chronometer accurate when wearing. All Asian movements can be regulated to be as accurate as a Swiss. Country of origin has absolutely nothing to do with movement accuracy.
-
Rolexman: thank for the advice. But that "golden pin lever" is attached to the "spring", would that harm the "spring"???
No. That's why it affects the rate of the movement. Moving the stud (pin) will make the hair spring longer resp. shorter. Just make sure you do not touch the hair spring itself.

Curious About the price. If its under 300 I will order one instantly and do review + movement dissection.
