100% gen ETA.

It's an 7750 duplicato... now that sounds expensive

The product ID number in the URL indicates these are leftover links for the old SSD, and are definitely NOT placeholder links for the new superlumed SD that the cartel has been working on (which in the latest newsletter was announced to be coming in a month, after the surprise release of the Explorer II).
Thanks for clearing that up!

Is this the gen construction one? Didnt know it came with engraved rehaut
Ceramic version.

Instead of giving info, give the link!

Top notch.
Make sure it runs +5~7 dial up. That will average in the best results during wear.

" So just remove the hair spring assembly and pass it through a demagnetizer?"
You can run the complete watch or movement with or without the dial/hands through the demag. Be sure to have a firm grip on it.
If it is a 'tunnel' type demag...put the watch in the tunnel, turn it on, leave the watch in the tunnel for a couple seconds, move it out of and away from the tunnel quickly, turn the demag off.
Never leave an AC demag on for long because they are basically a direct short and can heat up quickly.
Flat top demags work the same way.
+1
That should do the trick.

Demagnetize the hair spring (balance)

The URL imprint on the back of their straps kills it for me.

Same here. No pics on forum view on iPhone.

Wow! Great write up. Never seen any of these modded 6497s but it's good to know what to look for. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaking the seamaster with the correct HE placement carries an Asian 2892. Yeah, 99% sure about that . It came out in '04/'05
There was a second version. Which off course is also discontinued by now with incorrect HE and eta movement. I owned this version at one point in time. .

Great work mate looks fantastic, thanks for sharing Post tip is silver but because it sits slightly below the sec hand gromet (which is also silver) it appears black. Here are a few pics on the gen including the hands.
Thanks P. In the end I decided not to mod the center pinion. I tried some methods on an old hand and it is almost impossible to get a sharp round silver paint edge. The only decent way is to remove the hand from the tube or try to scratch away the paint with a needle. But than you run the risk of flaking paint of the hand itself....
This looks great!
All you need is a Y shaped incabloc and it's a done deal!
Thanks mate! Personally I don't think the time and energy that goes into that mod contributes to anything. Who but us know these things
Which one is better between this and the one from Kuvarsite's. Thanks in advance.
I never seen the Kuvarsit movement in real life but from pictures I would say the CDG and plating on the Kurvasit is still the best available. Only con is the printed movement markings instead of engraving.

Amazing!!! You deserve the name meister. Unbelievable skills man! Thanks for the write up.

Yes

Nice write up! Thanks R. I recently tore down the new 111 Noob movement and that one is also different. But good different. It probably comes closest to Swiss standards from all the 64xx series I've seen so far.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I used some cape cod for the bridges and green tripoli and a dremel for all the bevels. Same thing for the ss screws. Did a ultra sonic clean afterwards.
Ps: wat color does the tip of the second hand post need to be?
-black
-silver
-gold
Thanks!!

How hard is it to re-wind the main spring?
If you've never done it before it is not recommended. Unwinding is dangerous because the spring carries a lot of toque. Rewinding it is also trickie because of the winding direction that has to be taken into account, breaking of the spring and contaminating the barrel with dirth. Just try with an old watch. I can send you a photo tutorial. Shoot me pm.

Depends on the country you're in. If you live in Germany you will get into trouble using such descriptions!
