Its the standard rep Ebel 1911 discovery, a7750. Panda dial and bracelet Sorry I only have my iPhone, don't know how to post pics with it. Gasdoc

The crown on my ebel 1911 wobbles quite a bit when unscrewed. It ruins an otherwise almost perfect rep. Has anyone tried a gen crown? It might be an easy swap, but I don't know. Suggestions on where to get one? Thanks all! Gasdoc

If you like the 88 but hate the sunken DW

Can I do this on my navitimer world? Is it the same/similar technique to francisco's post on rwi? -
We always watch with her, either her parents , nanny, or grandparents. She never watches it alone. We read to and with her constantly through the day. I never meant for anyone to interpret this as a substitute for childcare. The tv is not a babysitter in my mind, though many do use it that way. I think it was a great exposure for her. I don't know if it will be any value in the long run, but she enjoys it immensely. Remember this isn't some high tech learning system, is the Same thing you would do yourself to teach them, Show the word, then show the picture of the object with music or whatever. It's really simple, and I am sure it will help with her confidence in school. As far as her learning future, she loves reading now like other children think of watching cartoons. I can't see how it will hurt. Better than watching teletubbiea or something. Those freak me out.

My wife bought the DVDs used from someone on amazon for $50. Been showing it to mg daughter since she was 5 months old. She is captivated by it even though to adults it looks dumb. My wife an I always figured it was silly but why not. Better than watching cartoons. Then at about 1 year old she started recognizing words. To my astonishment, she is now 15 month, can barely speak 10 words well, but she can read maybe 100 words ( not really read but recognize). If I show her a card that says ears, toes etc she touches her ears, toes, head, etc. It is pretty unbelievable. One thing though, she doesn't watch any other tv, which is what they recommend. That might be hard for some if They already watch tv. Needless to say, as much as I thought it was crap, it seems to be working.

No one? It's on the bottom in the "ads by google" banner of tons of posts. Looks like a possible source for reasonable priced GEN/preowned, but I can't find any reviews online except one. Thanks
-
I just clicked on the banner at the bottom of a post I was reading. Has anyone ever used them (USAWatches.net)? Sounds a little like a scam to me, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with them. Thanks! gasdoc

Simply amazing... That's all that I can say.

Did they ever address the silly bracelet end links? Those were the deal killer for me, and the reason I got rid of mine, that and the lack of AR.

I am not too familiar with the PAM world but I know many if you are, so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. My friend asked me to order him a titanium PAM and after some discussion we came up with the following requirements: 44mm titanium Asian handwind mvt with the panerai decorated bridges ( where they say panerai all over like 1000 times) sandwich dial sub seconds saphire with AR what model is that? is it even available? I am confused, should the 177h have the decorated bridges? 177g but is that sandwich or sausage dial? Thanks for any help! Gasdoc

I just don't see how the hell you can do that bezel like that, it boggles the mind! I may have to send my slevin out for some work...How's your schedule?
-
The crown on my slevin is nice and tight in the winding position, but when pulled out to set the time it is very wobbly and feels cheap like its about to fall off. Is there a fix for this? Anyone done a gen crown install? Suggestions? Otherwise the rep in phenomenal. Thanks

Stunning! Excellent work!

Does anyone know/can confirm that the skyland crystal can fit the old-school V1 titanium chrono avenger and V1 Ti Seawolf? My original crystal has an internal defect and Chief returned it to me uncoated because the coater said it might explode. I need to find a replacement for now, and eventually to get Chiefs coating, but the skyland would be good since it has decent double AR already. I read something about this months ago but I can't find it. Anyone can help? If you have a spare skyland crystal please PM me. Thanks! gasdoc

What is the best glue or type of glue to use for reinstalling a pearl? I am sure people must have opinions. Cyanoacrylate? 2 part epoxy? Gorilla glue? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

The spring clip is easy (well sort of) to put back, it's too hard to explain in words, check the disassembly instructions below. It's tricky to hold it with a tweezer because it fly's out and dissapears into the carpet. Watch out! I ordered 5 extra last time I bought watch parts just to decrease the stress of inserting it. It's not hard, just takes patience and a steady hand. http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/7750/7750.html

Email him for price - I believe he doesn't list prices on the forum/web because of the reactions of certain other dealers.
-
Some other dealers that were involved with the production of this watch have it for less. That's all I am going to say.

What AP is that? I haven't seen that one before, it looks amazing on that beautiful strap. I have a ROO, and I need a strap like that, and maybe the AP also, never saw an non chrono ROO.

AWESOME!!! Thanks guys, I am gonna do some reading and see what I can do. THANKS everyone - RWG rocks!

The Zigmeister, can you explain staking a little bit more? I've seen a staking tool (clamp) before, but not really sure how that would close the tube up a little? thanks!
-
Can anyone tell me the process, in detail preferably, on how to "tighten" the hands up so they fit to the tube. It seems that after being removed and reinstalled a couple of times, the minute hand on my 2824 is slipping, and I think there must be a way to squeeze it or something so it grips the tube more tightly? Thanks for any advice!
