One of the best background shots ever, people? Other than Pugwash's, obviously.

BTW, I buried the hatchet in Bal Harbour Shops. If you see a girl covered in soil, and wearing a Fiddy, wave.

What, I'm not one of the Cool Kids! I'm the girl in a corner, shyly reading a book. Mind you I WAS Head Girl of my school, but that's just because I bribed everyone else with free Smarties.

The broadside is aimed at all people who feel this way, not necessarily at you, Saviboy. That doesn't help your feeling that I disrespected you, of course, but may I just say that making sweeping commentaries about a whole people you met at community college was hardly "objective" either. Your treatise response was touchy, instead of laughing at your own, in a situation as funny as the one posted by Apey. In fact, it reminded me of Bernard-Henri L

At least you have sexy accents. RRRRR!

Well, unless you're the kind of guy that wants to see gratuitous female flesh (and who doesn't!), there is the very handy "RWG VIP" skin which you can choose as your forum skin. Look to the bottom left for that, next to screen language. Also, you SHOULD be able to sell items on the board now, as well as to have access to all the collector's galleries, including their contact info and payment arrangements. Another fun aspect of upgrading is that you can post in the VIP only areas, where we talk crap about non-paying members, and shoot each other with cheese-whizz in the VIP jacuzzi.

FF, sorry about your troubles. My emails to Jay went unanswered last night (not unusual for him), but didn't bounce back. It would help if we knew what email addy you are using, but then, I'm not sure that's allowed either. Mod care to comment?

Thanks Golfman, but this is the pick on Frenchies thread, not pick on Yanks thread. Please go there ---> http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=56763&hl=

It's all about chemistry with each collector, TeeJay, you know that. Tony and I didn't hit it off, and I tried my best to chase after him (including doing as you say, contacting him via Cquot). But then I thought, he has practically the same items that Narikaa has -- and I trust the latter 100%. I didn't see the benefits for a savings of U$20 in Tony's case. Jay is problematic, though he has sworn up and down that he checks each and every item using his staff before shipping items to me. I'm afraid that can't be the case, since how can you miss DOA watches?, but at least he's taken care of ME each time. Again, one has to establish a rapport. I recently dealt with Wackobirdkeeper, and am continuing my dalliance with TWP. I think I'm good for now.

I see that the Americans and Germans who replied in the threads to which THIS was a reply exhibited more grace and a sense of comedy about themselves than you did. Though I suppose the real moral of the story of these types of threads is that the stupid, inelegant, or incredible behaviour of the few is not a condemnation of the many, or the full story. To think such a thing is to be a bigot.

Awww. That's lovely. Like seeing one's child take their first baby steps! Mind you, I think my parents and boyfriend took out a hit on you. Check it out, Reems! Pix only just reposted it in the Wristies today, strange but true. Andrew already said I can trade for the SS bracelet, since it comes with the cow-shaming leather rep strap instead. Ahh, I sense a theme at work in your tastes. You like panda dials. Any idea why that is? (E.g.: I like black dials with round watches, and white dials with rectangular or square-shaped watches. Haven't figured out why yet) CLASSY but also commanding. Perfect for a medical doctor, IMHO. Wow. Very generous, m'lady! May I suggest a Franck Muller Crazy Hours for some wacky relative? Their kids will love it.

It can be tricky. Make sure you untick "search this forum only", and check out each individual forum for the marques you like. The PAM question has been asked a few times, with a lot of members giving great suggestions to each newbie. Pretty much all the rep watches. Well, save the ceramic, older Hublot Big Bangs or a nice IWC Cousteau Diver 2007, Cartier Santos Chrono and the like. Keep Narikaa and Precious Time in mind, since they are UK-based. Upgrading to the VIP membership will give you access to all the dealer areas, with their information and watch galleries, etc! Also, you can PM people, but not me, since I am again at 100%. Arrgh, I need to tug my forelock at Admin again...

I take people as they come, Rima, with few negative preconceived ideas. It's my saving grace. And also the way I was raised...anyway, thanks!! Well, I'm sorry to have to say this, but it's a Mutual Appreciation Society. And I don't even much like cats! Being a Leo and all. But how can I be but grateful to the person who turned me on to Panerais? Yessum. It's the PAM 232 from Davidsen. And hopefully, TWP's PAM 005 will come in time for Turkey Day. Gobble-gobble! More importantly, how about YOU?? What goodies have you in mind?

Interesting question. Me = tops U$400 for any replica. I just don't think they're worth more. As for the watch suggestions, what can be said, that hasn't been said before to other people asking the same? IWC = 3717 PAM = 112/111 Omega = SMP/SMP Chrono Go with the basics, and you will fall in love with others.

What a coinkidink! I just mentioned this in Rima's thread, Pix. Love it.

I just had a call from my boyfriend, which delayed this reply. And yes we're special! What's up with that lam-o Denise Gold? She should post! And Olivia! Boo. Oh of course. You had mentioned it regarding that abortive GTG! O.M.G. Yeah, he wants assumed kickbacks... Few do. They just want the power. My mother was on the condo board before she resigned due to extreme corruption with builders. One ex-friend of hers made almost a million dollars, which is under Federal investigation... Aww. She sounds very level-headed and down-to-earth. A well-matched couple, I see. If she's a Midwesterner, especially from the countryside, that's how they are. They'd saw off their arm rather than put on airs. This is why I like Midwesterners the most of any American. You know where you stand with them, as a rule. They're analogous to our Northerners in England. (I realise I'm not like that. But as I said about NASCAR, one can truly admire what one isn't) Blimey, that is generous! But I'm sure you are equally as supportive of any enthusiasm she has too, given what I can read of your personality. "Chinese penpal", heh. The life of Riley, my sweet.

Lame series agreed, largely because the Rockies never showed up, but then the people who are turned off by baseball, wouldn't have tuned in as much anyway. Let me just say that in 2003, when the Florida Marlins won it all too, we had the SAME kind of momentum, the same brash young club full of unexpected heroes like Miggy Cabrera (Matt Hollyday), and Dontrell Willis (a little like Jacoby Ellsberry, on the BoSox side, though in another position obviously). EDIT: Or D-Train = Troy Tulowitzki. We also had a seasoned veteran who was our inspirational talisman, in Ivan Rodriguez. Think Todd Helton. NO ONE gave the Florida Marlins a chance versus the storied NY Yankees, with their row of big bats, and a crazy-good closer in Mo Rivera -- and dang if we didn't beat them in 6. I feel badly for the Colorado fans, because their team couldn't put up the slightest fight. They were pwned.

I'm also thinking of "biggiest" as my future coinage. If it worked for Truthiness, it can so TOO work for biggiest! Right, precisely. It is about in large part about turning a profit, and US/Canadian dollars/Euros are the way to go. I realise CONCACAF aren't exactly in like Flynn with Blatter, but there could be a change of management by then, who knows what allegiances may form. Certainly Platini is not a shoe-in for future Prez, like he thinks he is. No, it was a little more nefarious than that...but you know, that's FIFA. They make the Olympics committee look like Scouts and Guides. Don't worry. We can always bribe another Russian linesman like last time. Olympics and World Cup are on par with each other. Euro or CL championships, as another example, are on levels below. That was my line of reasoning. That was my PC way of spelling it out because I don't really want to get into any kind of side argument why and why not... I believe Blatter said no more dual-nation hosts, which of course would knock down my Canada/USA double bid, but I think they might reconsider -- Scandinavia has more of a link to each other, historically, than even Britain and Ireland... (That dual-bid would be my REAL non-PC suggestion for the next European WC, BTW)

LOL! Donnie Deutsch reference. Only you, Freddy. Had it been me, I would've mentioned some obscure German princess I once met. See, this is a good point, and it raises a lot of issues. What if Rima were not an honourable person, but an out-and-out scammer. Would someone like that have offered to sell it to him with papers, for a "cut-rate" price, maybe after a few more "chance" encounters. (I'm sure he would've had it appraised; or let's just say if it were a better rep, perhaps of another watch model which HAVE been known to fool even watchsmiths) What if someone wishes you badly, and says you offered just such a deal even though you absolutely didn't, and goes to the condo president with this he-said-she-said situation? Who would they believe -- the guy willing to plunk down $$$ for a watch, or the owner of rep watches? That's the way the world works. Be careful out there...don't give those around you gratuitous ammunition.

Ahh, you had grade 12 for a moment! Whew, I was gonna say -- what school did you go to? Yep, by grade 3/3rd grade, you should know the moon orbits the earth. HOWEVER, and this is funny, if you see the comments, there are some who point out that the French verbs "graviter" and "obiter" might've thrown this guy and the audience off. REALLY now.

I was crying in my crib alongside you at 3. Thank God I was born as a "German championess" out of the womb. In YOUR dreams. That was one of the most successful, most well-attended, funnest World Cups ever. I do think Canada should be judged worthy of being let into the fun, and Mexico has been given it too many times. Certainly, the venues would have been upgraded by then. I'm just thinking that they wouldn't let us have a World Cup so "soon" after an Olympics. Other European nations would get jealous...as they invariably are with us. True. But since Russia is a bit too far* (I think they should get it), it should be a stable country in East Europe like Poland or the Czech Republic. Yes, Poland doesn't have the infrastructure NOW, but it can have it by then. (Yes, I realise the CR is not properly E. Europe...). If South Africa can, certainly so can any country in the EU. *You can argue that South Africa is also too far for most people to go. That was also true of Japorea. But those were politically correct "statement" venues, to give them a bit of the fun. Why not indeed. EDIT: Denmark is also a possibility in my eyes.
