  1. Yap for the JLC there are indeed many features and it is consider a professional diving watch. For the rep I do not expect it to have all these features, as long as it looks alike and can keep time I would be more than happy already. For the AP I like this piece as it is a bit more sporty compared to the EOD though it is just my personal preference. So anyone or any dealers that have news of these two pieces in reps do kindly pm me. Thanks.

  2. Haha for me I will wear the white one for weekdays and the orange one for weekends! Oh looks like now I know I'm not the only one waiting for the CD from TWP.....

Just bought the IWC Cousteau 2007, with the school of fishies around the Diver. :)

(It was the super cheapie version, A12j, to see if I liked it. TWP has the one I want one day. Still would get the 2007 version though. It looks more "diverish")

I'm so excited -- my first IWC! Welcome me to the fold, brothers and sisters!

  3. Thanks for your analysis sssurfer. I guess you may be right. Its not one of those super reps and its not with sapphire glass no date cyclops as per mentioned by you so don't think its using those sandwiched glasses. I tried to remove the screws on the front of the bezel but like no use as I think those screws are for cosmetic purpose only. So guess have to remove the case back... What puzzles me is that the 'blur' part always occur at the same spot. Can vapor always be present at just one spot? After some rubbing it goes off and after a few hours or few days it came back again...tough luck...guess I must be those 1 out of a few hundreds...

  4. Gosh looks like someone has the same issue as me! Recently, I bought a Cartier Santos 100 for my other half. Then one fine day, she told me that certain part of the front glass like 'blur'. I took a closer look, it doesn't look like scratches. I cleaned that 'blur' portion by rubbing it with those soft watch cloth. And magically the 'blur' part disappears! But after two days, the same problem came back again and exactly at the same spot! This really puzzled me. And same thing, I cleaned/rubbed that area with the cloth and all is ok again. This goes on and off and for a few times over the past two weeks. And I think the rubbing action generates some heat thus the 'vapor' disappears...and so 'blur' part also gone...

I begin to think hard and think it could be due to some tiny vapor being trapped between two pieces of glass being sandwiched together. So sort of just like the case over here. Oh man what should I do?

  5. Hi dear all, I'm looking for watch casings/boxes to keep my watches. It will be used mainly to contain my bigger watches like for Panerai, Omega, AP watches etc. It's basically those box type whereby one could fit in 5-8 watches in a row with partitions in between the watches. The watches are then like wrap around those small pillow like cushions and place into each partition. The flip-open cover can be solid type or those with open display whereby one can see the watches inside.

Does anyone know where can I find such casings/boxes? Please kindly recommend. Thanks.

  6. Here's a little more info. I would prefer anything from light brown to dark brown leather straps except for black color ones. And by the way I pretty much like the look of those distressed leather straps. Do they wear and tear easily? Or is there anything I should take note of for distressed leather straps?
