  1. Hi 2005SUBMARINER, thanks for sharing. So you were saying the genuine one ticks or the replica one ticks? Yap that's what I'm thinking too my first replica quartz watch so that I could wear it daily and not worry about anything.

Other than that, is it replicated closely to the genuine one or are there any obvious flaws? And does anyone here bought this watch, please share with us some pictures of this beautiful wtach. I would appreciate that. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for the feedback pals. Yes these are the info I need, keep them coming in so that I can better decide which one is a better choice. I didn't know they are using stickers in the movements! Are the stickers on the rotor or on which part? And do you all think the new upcoming Aquatimer and Cousteau Diver will be using stickers too?

Oh next, the prices I mentioned are not in US dollars they are convertered into my local currency. So if I were to convert to US dollars, the IWC Cousteau Diver will be around US$490 and the Hublot BB Yacht Club edition will be around US$516. And no shipment cost as from local dealer. So as can be seen the IWC from online dealers here is around US$388 and the HBB is around US$598. That's why it's a little puzzling to me and hard to decide. Could it be due to demand & supply? Haha of course the best case would be to get both watches!

  3. Yap quite true. In fact I did get to see both pieces of the watch when I met my local dealer. He offered me $760 for the IWC and $800 for the Hublot. And over here I understand the Hublot not the rose gold one don't come cheap too, that's why I'm a little concern if the dealer could be selling me a unit with flaws or with some other issues. Tested the chrono works fine though but wonder why he can offer me a lower price. Could it be another maker or is there really just one maker for Hublot?

  4. Hi dear all, may I know if the IWC AquaTimer Cousteau Diver (Blue) is it an ultimate replica version or not? Or are there any flaws in the replica? And I understand there is going to be a 2007 edition as well as the aquatimer coming out soon. So the above mentioned should be the 2006 version. Do you all think I should wait and get the newer version? And is the current Cousteau Diver with double side AR worth the price?

*A little side note, over at my side if I top up another $40 I could get the Hublot BB Yacht Club Demonaco edition. So any advice whether IWC Cousteau Diver or Hublot BB would be a better buy in this case?

    Thanks.

  5. Hi dear all, looks like I'm in love with the BR01-94 with blue dial! I would appreciate and kind feedback. If there are owners of this watch please do throw in your comments too. Just wondering if those available in the replica market are correct or are there any shortcomings/flaws? I understand that the replica so far for this model is on swiss eta quartz. So does the hand 'ticks' or does it 'sweep' smoothly? And for genuine ones, does it 'tick' or 'sweep'? As for the subdials and date are they all in the correct position? Thanks.

  6. Thanks for all the advice and feedback pals! Yes these are the info that I need. Keep them coming in.

So looks like an asia 17 jewels could be as good and as reliable as an eta 2836. No doubt it maybe better to go for the eta 2836 if given a choice. Hope I got this point correct.

Moving on, Andy you were saying that for those vintage Rolex, the beats are relatively slow. So be it asia 17 jewels or eta 2836, they are too fast sweeping and would not reflect the correct sweeping movement for those vintage rolex. So I guess an experienced hobbyist would pick out the difference but for others they may not notice it, am'I right to say that?

And just curious, if those factories can make movements and watches so well, do they make replicas of the eta 2836 too?

  7. Hi dear all, I have done some searches in the forum, not much information on these two movements. Mainly discussing which movements being used in which watches etc. However there aren't any side by side comparisons between these two movements. Does anyone has any comments? Or how about any owners of eta-2836 and asia 17 jewels, do you all have any issues with your watches or are very happy with it etc? Keep the comments coming in, I would love to learn more from you all. Thanks.

  8. And I understand from Silix that these models can also come with eta-2836 and sapphire crystal but at a higher price (around double the price). So is eta-2836 consider a better movement compared to the standard asia 17 jewels? And is it worth to get the higher price model? Thanks.

  9. I'm all ready too! Now waiting for which models will be available and the pictures.

And I understand all are running on asia movement. By the way, does anyone has any idea is it in sapphire crystal or just hard mineral glass? And the crown and bracelet they are in what grade of stainless steel? Thanks.

  10. Come on show your support guys & gals! This is a great site! At least it helps me a lot when coming to buying replicas so that I don't get ripped off. And in the process I learnt a lot too from the fellow members and seniors here. I have donated as the normal upgrading process wasn't available then. It's a very simple process and I enjoyed the benefits I'm getting from this forum. Cheers keep this forum alive, keep this hobby alive!
