  1. Hi folks, I'm in need of some advice. My new watch that is coming is using the Asian 7750 movement with day-date function. And as you all know the alignment can't really make it. I'm planning to swap the day-date wheel with those ETA one. Will there be any issues or quite a simple affair without much problems? And most importantly, may I know where will be a good place for me to get the ETA day-date wheel from? Online? Or any dealer here selling? Thank you.

  2. Hi lanikai thanks for sharing about changing the day-date at 5:30 else I would have missed it. I'm expecting my coustea diver so I guess the day-date settings will be similar and I should do it at 5:30 too right? May I know how to go about to adjust the day and date so that I won't damage the watch as so far this will be my first day-date watch. Thanks.

  3. Thanks coolfire! How have you been?

    Yap the CDs still have a number of little known issues but don't think the rep factories are going to do much about it, guess they busy with the newer models etc. Anyway, personally I think I should be able to accept those little flaws of course it would be great if they can be better. Haha if they rep this '08 model, maybe I will wear the '06 for weekdays and '08 for weekends :D

    But I'm still waiting for the Mark XVI & big pilot.......

  4. Thanks for sharing lanikai! When I looked at the title I almost thought I might delay my purchase of the CD '06 but looks like I will still go ahead. Guess it's personal preference, the CD '06 will be easier with shirts & pants or t-shirts & jeans. This '08 model maybe a bit more sporty like the '07 model ;)

  5. Hi dear all, I understand the IWC Slevin Aquatimer chrono was launched few months back (for both the rubber strap version as well as the stainless steel bracelet version). But it seems there aren't much feedback on these watches compared to the Cousteau Divers 2006/2007. I did read that the Cousteau Divers for the movements, the rotor letterings are actually stickers and may fall off any time whereas for the Slevin Aquatimers, the letterings are actually engraved onto the rotors, is that true? And the Slevin Aquatimers are 42mm whereas the Cousteau Divers are 44mm so could it be the smaller size of the Aquatimers so they are not so popular? Or are they not that well made and doesn't feel and looks like their genuine counterparts? And feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :D

  6. That's a good question Andy! I guess only the rep makers will have that answer. They seems to be keen in those Hub...ts which I don't know how many versions they have of it now and many other lesser known reps. The Mark XVI could be too simple for them to rep which they find no kick??? However my stand is still simple....... I WANT THE MARK XVI!

  7. How can I not do my bit....BUMP! Any updates? Btw I read from another forum that a dealer saw those rep factory has already done the casing etc for the big pilot and they are now searching for a right movement to R&D and put everything in place. How true I also don't know. Here's to Mark XVI!!!

    :victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory:

  8. Wow are you all sure that's not a pre-Basel watch fair committee meeting??? Haha I'm planning to organize one but not on the 'Basel' scale GTG in Singapore if there are interested parties. ;)

    Stephane more picture please, I wonder how its like with so many fellow hobbyists turning up at one place! And how many watches are there that night???
