great shots dvn seriously.. the gold matte HBB is a killa piece! makes me so sad i have no avenue to wear it except for when going out/etc .. and even then, only when i'm driving not taking the bus/subway in nyc.. -sigh-
-
what you think of the watch overall? I think it has a very curious effect.. the priceyness is undeniable *BUT* at the same time it is the most casual due to the matte finish it ain't "blingy" it's... probably the closest example I have ever seen of "Subtle Bling" i thought it very interesting
-
it's rose gold lighting effect perhaps? but yea, like i said, it's like wearing a big chunk o sexy gold on your wrist ... the matte effect makes it VERY interesting because it's not "bling" but at the same time the $$$ is undeniable i jus wish i could wear it .. but right now, can't wear it for work
-
matches it's an interesting piece.. because it's like wearing a nice big ole chunk of gold on your wrist and it's obviously PRICEY.. but at the same time not so in your face bling'd out because of the matte effect it's definitely a conversation piece once worn, people will be curious about it

I like it truth be told it's more of a casual watch than my HBBRGPC... because the rgpc is shiney and mirrorry whereas the matte effect makes it more of a 'casual' luxury than anything im mostly dissapointed in not having an avenue to wear the watch at... i can't wear it at work and for sure not out on the streets it is an HBB after all.. attraction is its realm @V: ....i think you just gave me a tingle the all-black HBB ...? hmm.. hmm........
-
this has absolutely zero appeal to me.. if you like this type of HBB.. imnho -aspen bling bang -steel bling bang -plain SS HBB (which is a looker by itself)
-
it arrived today i never post impressions/etc right away because i let the novelty wear off.. but overall i like it it's matte.. so as funny as it may sound, it's not as attention-grabbing as my HBBRGPC.. in terms of quality/finish it's impeccable and it's a first-factory hublot (no screw-down crown) it's quite amazing.. wearing a watch of "pure gold" on your wrist is something.. and i love the impact the HBB presents (specially the price gold currently commands).. ultimately i think i screwed myself because of my HBBRGPC it's my 'daily' beater and i cannot, for the life of me, show up at work wearing this hbbgold cuz people will then notice im prolly wearing fakes but i like it.. the solid gold-matte contrasting with the black.. the finish.. the AR quality... i like it, a lot i just wish i have more options to show it off because i likey

it gets.. muddy -.-;; technically.. i'm done spending on any reps... but here's the thing.. i got a bling bang HBB.. but it had a problem.. so i sent it back.. but this rgmat was released at the same time.. so having never worn the broken hbb.. i asked the dealer if i can jus pay the difference between the two and get the hbbrgmat instead :X dealer said ok and that's that.. my spending is done ... 2007.. no more reps for 2008 :X ....well, this is how i rationalize it -.-;;
-
i honestly don't have that many reps.. and so far, only 1 hbb (2 once i get the gold matte) although i took a recent "damage report" and kinda felt like puking -.- HBBRGPC ($800), Pam082 ($600), Montblanc Timewalker ($300), HBBMatGold (incoming) ($750) 4 reps.. north of $2k :X oddly enough the pam 082 rivals the hbb in terms of $$$... it's $400 from DSN and then $200 for an hktan double-ridged croc strap (incoming) but yea, i basically don't have many reps but per-item beats most peoples' collections.. I highly urge people to take a damage report on the $$$ they've spent.. it'd shock ya peeps.. i myself flinch everytime i think of the damage i've done but oh well, like i said.. i'm done getting reps, the HBBMG was more of an impulse-buy thing than anything else -.-;;
-
@SQL: so you currently have no HBB's? simple.. get the top quality SS hbb you can get, gonna save tons of $$$ too @dvn: mine is the "top quality" HBB :X the ones with the genuine polished ceramic bez's.. I don't think TWP is selling the same thing for $800.. last I heard "the cartel" sells it north of $1100 :X something i can't possibly endorse/support .....even tho I just got myself a HBBMatGold which is also "pricey" but it is around the same price i got my hbb for back in the day
-
I'll answer soon as you tell me what HBB you got already
-
that's interesting... but i loctite'd my HBBRGPC.. lol it's my daily beater and i didnt want screws falling off.. besides.. the gold matte kinda has an effect all its own.. so i dunno bleh, i jus want it to arrive soon so i can go thru buyer's remorse, LOL
-
I'll let you guys know when i get it.. not even sure why i got it really.. it's not even shiney or anything it's matte.. but oh well -.-
-
:X baby did a bad bad thing.. i got one ordered.. *[censored]*
-
it's ok, it gives the ice bang the "Stealth" effect i'd keep it on there just my .02
-
it isn't UB's fix.. it came from JCB himself! LOL who'd have thunk it.. our HBB's are so close to the gen article that even fixes the top-hublot dog himself suggests -- actually works
-
mine was never ugly it was stealthed LOL but yea this is interesting.. the only bad part is i think i stripped one of the screws goddamnit! but i have loctite so itll hold, i hope
-
this [censored] actually works, lol absolutely 100% critical you have an H-shaped screwdriver tho so removing the band is a snap
-
ill give this a try.. wonder why it works/if it does :X the ridge still is on there.. interesting, gotta try it out now that i have an actual H-screwdriver
-
but wouldnt that mean that the Hublot buckle would be on your skin then? -.- aka hidden? that sucks
-
i heard about this.. got pics that show how it looks after? i'm interested in trying this out.. but can't quite visuallize it anyone try this method?

Panerai- Asian movement vs. the Swiss Movement
TomRiddle replied to 894tom's topic in General Discussion
i bought a Swiss 111h base for like $185 I was gonna a. give it as a gift during xmas b. sell it but im pretty much just holding on to it.. too much hassle to do both -.- and hey, it's Swiss how many swiss panny 111h's you got that you can get for $185 perfect base for me if the modding bug ever bites me but that's cmopletely unlikely considering my HBB and Pam082 rule my wrist -
happy new year everyone

you sound like me before my most recent purchase.. a Hublot SS-bling diamond watch.. (unfortunately, a little buyer's remorse is what I'm facing now) if I can reverse time.. I would've instead gone with Angus' offering of the J12 with Svaro-crystals as it would bling like no one's business truthfully.. only you can answer these types of questions because you know your tastes best.. but here's something to help you come to a decision and avoid buyer's remorse like I'm going thru now.. #1-what watches do you have now..? For example if you have a killer Cartier Santos and just want to have a similar watch with bling.. don't get the Santos model with bling on it -----that's my buyer's remorse right now.. I have 2 amazing HBB's but the circle I have at work is in love with my hbbrgpc.. I cannot possibly wear the bling bang to work because it would be so obvious that something's not right that's really the main tip I have.. don't get the same style watch with bling because it won't be right if in your real life circle of people you encounter (to simplify this.. if you have a Cartier Santos, get a BCE Chrono Evo with the bling bezel ) so yea.. I should've gotten the Chanel J12 with svaro's
