Nice improvement , seem they have also correct the crown before the second and third point touched at the base in other pics that I saw . Pic1 and pic2 another rep forum member , Pic3 from opener above. Still there is a little gap/distance between the O and the L , on the HR 5517 dial this gap isn’t present Pic4 form another rep forum member
Suk do you have already a thin crown on your jkf, why do you want change it ?
try to show a pics of your crown in this 3D I'm curious about other opinion..
Ok well note you are a guru ;-) but despite that I’m not full convinced because if I looking for on chrono24 almost all the 1665 have bevel like my pics above .. Diamond jeweler file :/ isn’t enough a nail file ?
Nanuq , a nos like this is a good example of correct bevel? (See link and pic below) Do you think that is possible replicate with manual tools at home these little bevel ? https://oredelmondo.org/products/rolex-ref-1665-nos-sea-dweller-double-red-line-mid-70s-sold-in-japan-full-set
Hi I was checking the 1665 jkf and seem to me that the bevel / chamfers are not correct . pic from supermirror I read that the gen bevel/chamfers was less noticeable than the 5513 and 1680, but on the jkf they are totally absent.. Seem the jkf have a case of the latter modern rlx . Below a nos gen 1665 bevel (pic from forum Orologi&passioni) Maybe I’m wrong but if you can give me your opinion . Tks
Tks! a lot of info Automatico some new (for me) other that I already read in other 3d/forum. I’m more for the 1680 (already I have a cartel mod by RA with gen dial and 2846) but in the future I want improve it. What about the yuki case that you have sold ? I have read that the newest case isn’t like the old one (problem with glued tube if I remember correctly )
For now is only a curiosity (about the price and the quality) maybe i will buy the case by the next year from her if I’m really convinced about quality..Otherwise phong is the expensive alternative ..
@nycrounders the case is phong style with the correct crown hight position or low position like the cartel one ? I asked to ruby pics for a 1680 case but I’m still waiting the reply
Better with polished bezel .. I give you same additional info: -the Clark rotating bezel don't work on the Cartel retaining ring (the Clark is narrow ) -the Clark Retaining ring work with Clark plexi 25-127 , only is necessary a lot of energy for press it, I used a round plastic tool over the retaining ring and another one on the back and i put the watch (cover with this plastic round tools) inside a manual vise, for press the retaining ring close to the middle case . -the Phong bezel insert is flat (I think like gen ) so the plexi come out from the insert 1mm circa more that the cartel insert that is convex..
Ok tks for link but chrono24 is not famous for transparency..IMHO Any other trustworthy website or blog that declare and confirm that service dial with red write? Only for curiosity and my personal knowledge ..
@interactiv i never saw a service luminova dial with red write submariner..all the service that I saw (tritium or luminova) was with white submariner . Maybe the write submariner was painted in red from the seller of this dial?
Nice comparison tks for sharing ..rolojack I have a doubt about the diameter of case and bezel of this rep..because I have read that the cartel is 38mm but the genuine was little maybe 37 ?
New entry: Clark bezel assembly + phong insert.. I have sweat 7 shirts for install the retaining ring :-( and still is not perfect.. after 50 or more turn with vigor now the bezel ring rotate correctly but is still hard to rotate , it is without bezel spring because with it installed the bezel don't rotate at all :-( I have a doubt if I should polish the bezel or keep rough
