  1. Sure, and that's why replicating a cheap watch well is sort of..... a given.
  2. I'm with k on this. Very well replicated watch, but if I really liked it I'd just buy the gen. And I think "rep of the year" status should account for this. The best rep should not merely be highly accurate and well built, but should also replicate a watch that is not within reach of most people, or one that is truly rare and difficult to obtain, or better yet all of the above.
  3. Looking forward to seeing the samples, Rolli!
  4. Pics would be awesome.
  5. Looks good stitchless, but I'd definitely do an edge coat.
  6. Looks good. Is this one of the watches Finepics was holding for year+ ? Why didn't he coat the CG pin?
  7. I think The Zigmeister does 7750 servicing for less than that, but the Seamaster probably uses Omega's in-house cal.3303 movement, no? Different beasts altogether. Congrats, on the purchase... The price sounds excellent. I've been eyeing a gen Broad Arrow Speedmaster chrono for some time but have hesitated due to 3303 uncertainties... Let us know how well yours does!!
  8. I'll try to remember everyone in January. But I will post a sign up thread right after the new year, so watch for that and post a response when you see it.
  9. For sure. He's using stock pics.
  10. P.2005 is, for lack of better words, bad ass.
  11. Yep, looks just like the gen crowns I have received!
  12. Good deal, Mr. Luddy. Thanks for the feedback. I guess this will have to be my next IWC, then. Looks like there are some minor (uncorrectable) dial flaws (similar to the 3717) as far as the boldness of the printing, most notably around the bezel ring. The inverted 5, 10, 15 are thinner in proportion than the rest of the numbers, and the other numbers are too bold compared to the gen. All the numbers around the ring (the inverted ones and the directly printed ones) should be the same. And if you're being really picky, then IWC is a little too bold and SCHAFFHAUSEN is probably a bit too large. In any event, here's to a hoping a steel bracelet becomes available!!
  13. Nice review of a gorgeous timepiece. Always great to see new members making big contributions to the forum. Thanks!
  14. Good stuff, delta... I honestly think every black dial PAM looks good on a black strap. The question really is... what kind of black strap? Croc, alligator, calf, carbon fiber, etc. Currently I'm wearing my 063 on a tumbled black calf with white stitch custom made by Tootall. I love the combo. Sorry, no pics at the moment.
  15. Sure. IMO it's a high quality rep of a mediocre (at best) watch. Not sure if that helps you one way or the other, though.
  16. If you've just received it from a reputable dealer, please contact them and you'll likely receive a replacement.
  17. All the best to you and J, Rob.
  18. Does anyone have answers to these questions? Thanks!
  19. MERRRRRY CHRISTMAS!! HO HO HO HO
  20. Doesn't look like good news. But, I must say, I don't recall ever seeing that particular dial repped. Then again, I don't pay a lot of attention to date/datejusts.
  21. I must admit to not being the biggest Omega fan in the world, however someday I simply must have a gen Cal.321 Speedmaster chronograph. The sapphire case back is a must, although I'd probably want to wear it inside out so I could stare at the movement all day. In the meantime I might hold myself over with a "vintage" 1140 or a newer 1861 which lack the allure but still mostly capture the exterior look and feel. Anyhow, this is a great read (mainly a picture orgy) for anyone who enjoys this watch, and misses (as I do) The Zigmeister style posts... http://kawai3.hp.infoseek.co.jp/eng-speedmaster.html Enjoy.
  22. Yep. This very prominent flaw is the main reason I haven't gotten one... I'm too anal and it's too in my face.
  23. @DuDro - The Navis I have seen recently seem to have a light interior only AR coating. It's so light that I once coated over the existing rep AR coat because I didn't know it was there, and this was a bad thing since it caused a green color instead of purple/blue. The Navis are a great watch to have properly coated and look phenominal once they are.
