  1. Well thanks for all the input guys, please keep it coming! This crown is apparently solid gold, I gave it a deep scratch and no base metal was exposed... hmmm... I'm gonna polish the crap out of it with a cape cod and see if the damn thing really is gold.
  2. I got it from Jewelers tools on eBay, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=330245310669
  3. Yep, they use trip lock , what I'm wondering is if the one I got is a fake, I already have it, and it was from a very reputable seller on eBay that a few members had recommended because he's legit. I just measured the crown and it's exactly 3mm thick, is that the correct thickness?
  4. Ok I got this crown from eBay, here's the pic and description: So is this thing a twinlock or a triplock??? I see 3 dots underneath the crown.... I'm confused. Also what TUBE do I need to use for this one to fit [gen or aftermarket]? Will I need a new stem as well? I plan on installing it on a TW Best TT Sub, here are the pics: It has an ETA 2892 if it's of any help. Thanks for your help guys! **BTW does that crown seem gen to you? I'm having suspicions it might be fake, but it feels 'heavy' like gold...
  5. A very handsome watch, the red dial just kills all the class in this watch, black dial is too... meh... so... cream dial FTW!
  6. Already have a Speedy Moon and a DeVille Chrono . But if I were to get another one you'd bet your ass I'd get the Apollo 15 Speedy and the Speedy Moon phase!
  7. Ok you got me on that one, same cartridge. Different head though. Why are you taking this so personal? lol, you're waaaay too serious on this. I'm merely posting the effective range on what the Manufacturer states so, whatever. Again, you're taking it too personal . Effective range doesn't mean much unless it's int he right hands, and that's what matters the most, I'm simply quoting what H&K says, if it doesn't well too bad, combats are engaged usually less than 200m on each side, usually, everything is so variable, wind can drastically change everything on the bullets trajectory and damage, so meh. Also the Barrett M82A1 has an effective range of 1,000m but it's what the manufacturer states, again, too many variables, but on perfect conditions it would be possible. So meh, whatever.
  8. WRONG. MG-42: Caliber: 7.92x57 http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg33-e.htm Wrong again! G3's effective range [G3A3]: 500m M16A2's effective range: 550m If it were up to me I'd go with a G36 [standard], it's lightweight, extremely reliable, and has an effective range of 800m! It's also SEXY! god knows I love H&K!
  9. Actually they're licensed copies, I had an old book that showed the M16 is manufactured in a lot of countries, lots of pictures of the different receivers, each in the countries language, China is one of them.
  10. The feared Maschinengewehr 42 , is that the one you're talking about? I think it uses a 7.92mm cartridge though. I've shot a deer with an Arsenal AK [sLR-107] and it left a nice ''clean'' hole [if you don't count all the blood ], I won't argue over that bullet, it's damn powerful compared to the 5.56mm, I'm just saying either one of those calibers [5.56 & 7.62] are equally deadly and I definitely wouldn't enjoy getting hit by neither one of them [or any bullet while at it]!
  11. ??? A 5.56mm round is just as deadly as a 7.62mm round, it's not all about the bullet caliber it's how well you aim and where you manage to shoot your opponent. Take the U.S. Forces in Iraq for example, they're kicking ass with the M4/M16 over the AK's/G3/FAL the insurgents are using.
  12. You know, when you say "American" you do realize you're referring to the continent right? Which includes north, Central and South America, so specify the damn country next time [although I realize you're speaking of the U.S.]. Either way, what's with the hate towards the guys in the U.S.?! Don't you have anything better to do than to [censored] and moan about a country? I mean seriously, what the hell, this is the same country that helped you guys in WW2, let me rephrase that, Saved your ass in WW2. Talk about being ungrateful. Why don't you [censored] and moan instead of Islamic extremists, PETA and terrorists? Makes much more sense.
  13. White dial Panda for me, honestly, how hard can it be to decide?
  14. Panerai IMHO is too sporty to be a formal/dress watch, with the exception of the Gold Radiomir. Also sorry, hadn't read about you not wanting any other suggestions, lol. So sticking to your plan, Nautilus all the way! Later you can say that you wore a Patek on your wedding, now someone tell me that that doesn't sound right!
  15. Congrats on the wedding! Nothing says elegance like Patek Philippe, I'd personally go for the Nautilus [burnt Blue] non MBW version. But if you're looking for something else this Vacheron Constantine wins! : For $108 it's not bad at all! The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in blue is really beautiful and it's small enough to wear with a Tuxedo [also available in white, black, TT, FG] and it's very elegant: If you're going Rolex get a Day-Date, they're very elegant and just perfect for the occasion, I personally think this one will suit you perfectly, clean and elegant stick markers in white MOP: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1491 And last but not least, the gorgeous Vacheron Constantin Overseas:
  16. O-M-G! That one is so sexy it made me puke!
  17. Well I have my watches sorted for: *Fun (Franck Muller Crazy hours is an example). *Dress (i.e. Railmaster XXL or Yacht-Master 16622). *Casual/Sporty (Rolex Sub 16610 and 16803 [soon *drools*]). *Battlefield (UPO or Breitling Steelfish).
