Prices allow the TDs to développ, invest in better machines, technics.. See the way it was 4 years ago... and now the V7 Noob.. 400$ is extremely fair regarding the parts and material involved. Maybe we should ask the same about the gen prices .. 8000$ for a brand new Sub at an AD ... whereas the same kind of watch involving the quite same material and technicals specs was sold half that price not decades ago.. Maybe those are the gen firms who over price their pieces, and I don't even talk about the price tag of parts .. come on 2000$ for a stainless steel Rolex band.. THATS a crazy amount of money .. when you see a TC V3 strap sold 30$ back in the time... It's because some guys are willing to pay 20k for a Daytona without even know how to spell it properly but hey, it's a flashy Rollie so ..

Yeah 250 or 299 allows guys who want to sell a recently acquired classic rep from usual sellers (RRP being around 350/400$) to sell them and move fast their pieces and collection.. Is it somehow doable? Maybe we are really enthusiast to beat Phong prices but .. if the cost is 800$ / case and lot of time and energy involved .. when compared to a 1100$ Phong case .. whom prices are always negotiable .. I really thought that CNCed case final price would be around 100$, not 600... At 500/600$ range with no details made, does it worth it ? Just drilling the valve or lug holes could be 50/100$.. etc etc.. Would not be interesting having Phong's opinion about our current matter ? Occb2 has a direct connection in person with Phong, he could maybe talk to him .. I know Phong is reading this but maybe a reaction could enlight the debate.. At least justify his prices ..? Just some vacations thoughts !

Yeah.. I'm having trouble buying the gen at 4K now .. I have limited funds and always fear to lose the watch, or get it stolen.. with a 1k rep the risk is way more acceptable. Maybe for my 30's, a gen .. but those frankens are unbelievable. All my friends, great watch enthusiasts.. They never got me (Or they are true friends)

Waiting for the original seller to get back but if I stick to its listing (and he's quite an old respected fella) this watch has been bought in April 2016 directly from TC... it should be a v4 by all odds

Had the same thing happened Asked for QC pics and received the case directly. Wrong on every points. Sent it back and got refunded after the second attempt. His cases are the best, for sure. On every aspects. And he's a true magician when motivated and sometimes can justify his crazy prices But sometimes, his job is not great and he does not seem to care much. Don't know if it is always the same guy lol, because the work performed can be so different from one month to an other .. never figured out how it can be.
