  1. everyone will be like FAKE ROLEX if you have a quartz movement is the big downside.
  2. I am pretty sure their SMP is the same as everyone elses (not true for the PO). But a little birdy told me that a new version of the SMP is in the works...
  3. Is that tag authentic? If it is a rep where did you get it? Beautiful watches!
  4. I love the VC Overseas from them, they are good over email. Probably the volume they move helps prices. They are good for the classic sellers (vc overseas, SMP, Explorer I, etc).
  5. Not exactly.... I couldn't find my WD-40 so I just poured some motor oil in the case.... filler' up!
  6. Been reading up on the Paul Neuman dials all day. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...d=0#msg_1377245 is a good thread on the PN dials. What eactly makes a dial "exotic"? From Timezone: This may not be the best comparison since they are different dial colors but its a start.. First. forget the bezels.. one is steel the other is plastic.. The dials.. The PN dial is on the right..black with white subdials... Things that are different on the dial.. 1. The outer ring on the dial with tracking numbers. In the PN is red tracking numbers(but it could be black or white.) 2. Markers. They are a small square on the PN with small tritium dots.. In the regular dial, the markers are long. 3. Subdials.. The font in the PN is more art-deco and the markers are a square with a "stick" connected to it. In the regular dial, its just a dash.. 4. The markings "SWISS" is usually below the six marker in the PN dial. 5. Lastly, there is no tritium dots at 12 in the PN dial..never..
  7. What are you having done to your 6263?
  8. I remember him saying that, but also hating them in the new daytonas (http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=2805) Like that v23 eh? Like your women that way too, finicky, unreliable, but great subdials I bet? Good taste.
  9. Depends what you mean by "better." Venus IMHO. Never heard of one dying, and if did you could probably service it. 7750s die all the time... The Zigmeister won't even touch the new ones any more! Venus can be a little jumpy (mine was). I think The Zigmeister has a thread on it somewhere... or at least there was at once.
  10. Wow wow wow nice pics. I think I need a paper towel. Woudn't need the hour subdial to time that one. I read your previous reviews of the DW, very informative. The one luckyyy has over at the DS is amazing as well. The black benz really adds something. I really appreciate all the info you have provided on this particuar watch. Now they just need a good steve mcQueen rep (I tried on the re-released gen in ATL, they had broken the crystal! Still refused to give me a good deal or replace it).
  11. Great idea! I can't imagine clocking anything over an hour. Even if so its easy to just notice what hour it started on the main watch.
  12. Sigh, so typical of reps. Accuracy vs. Reliability. Shame the new DWs have that 7750 in them apparently. The lemania I had was a workhorse. I have even heard of the swiss 7750s failing. :-(
  13. Are all your subdials functioning in order? For some reason I had it in my head that movement only supported 2 subdials. Thanks for the reply!
  14. Hi, Just curious if anyone has bought one of these. Really nice looking watch. According to his ad it is a 1:1 case, just curious how the movement is holding up w/ all the subdials and resetting. I can see it beating a little slower than the 7750 based versions though.
  15. 111h was my first! Love that watch, although I only wear the 127 now. I think the 111h is the perfect balance, the 127 is just a tad large... but I like it :-)
  16. I thought that is what expensive (fake) watches were for?
  17. Production would quickly resume if this happened to the extent it was profitable.
  18. As evidenced by my wrist. ;-) Just wanted to let people know what the law was and contribute something since there is so much speculation on the boards. Just because it comes in doesn't mean it is legal.
  19. hahahahaha. I thought that was plain english. It is illegal to traffic in fake watches. Charges are ok for one watch, and have been brought for two watches A search warrant can be issued against you if the post office thinks you are "trafficking" in counterfit watches If buying/owning is illegal depends on how courts interpret the "traffic" part of the law and "disposal" of watches Courts can generally infer intent, so if you have 30 watches for personal use you are probably trafficking If you only have one you may still be trafficking You probably don't have anything to worry about, this is just for those who want to know This is just for CRIMINAL, not CIVIL proceedings Also, "modding" is certainly illegal
  20. Evidence was insufficient to show that defendant had "trafficked or attempted to traffic" in 12 pairs of counterfeit socks where defendant was providing counterfeit socks to associate as samples, for which associate had not promised payment or anything in return; thus, there was no evidence that defendant was sending socks as consideration for anything of value. United States v Habegger (2004, CA4 NC) 370 F3d 441.
  21. Defendant's conviction for violation of Counterfeit Trademark Act, 18 USCS § 2320 was affirmed because trafficking in single good constituted as trafficking in "goods" under Act and there was no question that defendant's conduct occurred within five year limitations period under 18 USCS § 3282. United States v Foote (2005, CA10 Kan) 413 F3d 1240, 75 USPQ2d 1353.
