  1. The maker refuses to do it because all movement with rotor engraved will loss warranty from the movement factory, that is why the Chopard and the upcoming IWC will also have stickers on the movement, if I can source some rotors then I can do the engraving but it is almost impossible to source for the rotors.

    These things have a warranty?

  2. This is one I really want, but the high price prevenjts me with all the talk about QC issues. It would be nice if th dealers could give an extra set of screws in case some fall off. That would be helpful.

I never understood why they don't do this. Those screws must cost what, $0.02 cents? Why not just throw in 2-3 with each order...

  3. I don't think VIP Membership should be made mandatory for several reasons. I was one of the people lucky enough to get given a VIP membership as part of the birthday festivities, and all that afforded me, was the ability to edit my posts, larger message capacity, and access to a few extra forums that were actually of no use to me whatsoever. I have not renewed that VIP status, becausefirstly, the ability to edit my posts is not that important to me, and secondly, I was disheartened by the response to the recent issues with Cartel Dealers, and was not prepared to support a forum that continued to allow the Cartel to deal from here, and be respected here. This forum was indeed set up to allow people to discuss their interests in replica watches and prevent people being scammed. Proof had come to light of scamming, so those people should have been expelled. Simple as that. However, that is in the past, and this is about moving on.

If people are known to be dealers, so be it, let people do business with them, but, having a dealer's section was asking for trouble. I've never actually used a dealer mentioned on this forum. There are sites like eBay where dealers are monitored and have to make good their promises. Okay, the reps might not be as accurate as some of the Super Reps, but for the prices they are costing, they are still better than some of the Canal Street Junk that the Real Scammer sites pass off.

This is not the end of the world, folks. We can still display and discuss our watches, so that's all that matters :)

    Peace out.

Not to make this a donation debate; but I think most of us dontate to support the site. I am not buying the VIP services, I give to help out.

  4. Another problem you may have had is that someone "filled" your slot. The way admissions work is basically a huge spreadsheet were they want X number of people from ___ group to achieve diversity, balance, etc. This isn't just race, but is hometown, college, GPA, goals, etc. If someone fills the slot you fit in, you are up [censored] creek without a paddle.

Not sure what your race or background is, but the last thing you really want to be when applying is another smart white male.

  5. Did anyone here ever apply for law school in the United States? I'm curious, as I applied for American law schools 2 years ago, and got flat rejections from everything I applied for.

    I applied for:

    - Harvard

    - Columbia

    - Stanford

    - Cornell

I wasn't directly rejected from Cornell, I was waitlisted and never heard back from them again. I don't understand how I was rejected, as I scored a perfect 180 on the LSAT, and had strong reference letters from my employer and research partner at the University of Toronto. In addition, according to the LSDAS I had a Cumulative GPA of 4.00. And yet all this still wasn't good enough, I'm still wondering to myself what may have went wrong. I'm thinking of sending in another application for the same law schools later this year, and if I'm admitted specifically to Harvard, to request a 2 year deferral. I want to use my LSAT score while it's still valid in the eyes of many law schools.

    Admin,

I doubt they received your LSAT. I could see harvard/yale rejecting a 180, but not any of the others you listed. I would stay away from American Law; it has a bad reputation being the #3 school in D.C. (behind Georgetown and GW) and just slightly in the top 50. It is a good school and I am not knocking people that go there - but people from schools ranked higher will turn up their noses as do many employers. The only thing I could see causing problems is your CN citizenship.

If you are ever waitlisted it is important to bug the hell out of them, visit, etc.

I just went through this recently and will drop you a PM with some more info.
