  1. Good advice...I have "softened" all my Oyster bracelets on my belly buttons..(Rolex, cause everyone got one) I used 600 grit wet sandpaper wrapped around a paint brush as well....then finish op the conditioning with grey 000 synthetic steel wool, it looks like Scotch Brite...then I rub in a lot of silicone lube and just work it. Be sure to brush the 000 with the grain of the brushed bracelet and then just keep after it...I often lie in bed and use my fingers to rub the edges as often as I can and sooner than later I break in the bracelet just fine.

    Happy Repping,

  2. This seems to be a re-occurring theme on several boards....I personally for the first time had a issue with Josh...bought a full monty 16750 EXP II that was supposed to have all the case engravings w/M serial, SEL's marked...the watch had NONE...the watch works and performs great but based one the watch I chose from his site it was supposed to have all the above. I repeatedly asked him, after dealing with him w/o issue for 5 years and all I got was, "if you do not accpet watch, please return and pay the postage and I will refund you the credit". I'll be damed if I PAY to ship it back to cartel China on my nickel. I payed w/postage $243 for a NOOB basically with an upgraded movement. I chose to leave it alone and take my business elsewhere OUTSIDE the cartel..Period.

  4. Lugs and crown guards (where the bracelet attaches to the case and where the crown seats) are usually the dead give aways. It's been my experiance that most guys start with lug mods, crown guard mods i.e. CG's...the lume on the reps are usually decent but many a rep buyer chooses to have the dial relumed. Good news is there is many modders around that do this kind of work. As suggested, buy the rep..wear it and decide if you really want to invest in modding the watch. Occasionally modded reps come up for sale in the FS threads, you can get a shot at those from time to time as well.

The ceramic subs are so new that a really GOOD version is still to come, hell I remember when 16610 subs were all the rage and we all bitched about the flaws, the 16610 reps now are KILLER in my opinion. So you might wanna hang out for a year or two till really good versions hit the market. Remember most ALL the dealer reps come out of the same factory/factories so very little differences in authenticity exsist. That's MY opinion only.

    Good Luck

  5. I encourage all people...especially in our Shout Box and the other boards Chat Box...when I read a " what dealer sells the best Sub" type of thing. I gentley encourage them and point them to the "trusted dealer" threads. I also point them to the "dealer reviews" and other review threads and ask them to do their due diligence when searching through those threads. If I didn't get some questions anwsered and whipped some guys ass'es I never would have learned a thing, so thanks you guys for being patient. my .02 is I don't wanna see a thread that excludes noobs from learning. Don't we have a VIP sales section where most guys are seasoned? To the NOOB....please take the time to do your due diligence studing up first...it will only help you in the long run making good descisions when buying replica's.

    Good Hunting,
