I've been waiting for this for a while now - now it's here I am not disappointed. The overall quality of the watch is really good, especially the strap. Adjustment was easy enough with the PDF guide linked elsewhere in the forums, the micro adjust took me a bit of time to figure out though. Here's some early photos.
The run up to 2009 will be interesting as well as what happens afterwards. I suspect we might see ETA movements reps pushed up in price, probably dramatically towards the end. We can probably point at profiteering here but it is also likely to be driven by a rush of buyers wanting to get hold of ETA reps before they become much harder or impossible to get hold of.
No-one seems to want to answer this and I as I have been doing some digging on the same question..... I believe the answer is the "new v2" graphite SS i.e. graphite with graphite subdials. There are some caomparison shots in Ruby's section. Happy to be corrected on this - preferably before I pull the trigger
He does indeed have the Tag Link Chrono with better date font, I should have mine from him this week hopefully. Of course it's not the one in the photos with the day window.
Quick update. Silix is trying to get me a whole new bracelet, not ideal but it does mean I'll probably have spare links to help out anyone else with a similar problem in the future.
I had such a lucky escape from guys like these. Like al ot of others I too was looking seriously at these kind of sites before I found RWG and the like.
The price difference between the Asian and ETA 7750 chrono movements is much greater than between the Asian non-chronos and the ETA 2824s etc. That said the new high beat Asian 7750 is supposed to be much better than the old one. To add further complications doing a movement swap later to a Swiss 7750 from a Asian is harder with the new highbeat because appearently the hands won't fit on the ETA.
