  1. The dial is superlumed by the meistro himself, The Zigmeister so the lume is naturally exellent :D

I only have this picture from where I bought the dial/hands it from :)

Very nice work - how about a lume shot?

I agree about the hard work getting it back together though, especially when a screw goes walkabout :(

  2. As the title says! Now my pam 002 project is almost finished!

It was a pam 111 in the beginning !

I had a standard a 6497-2 movement in it ( high beat ! ) with the secondpin so I had to take apart the movement and cut off the second pin axle.

It was no problem taking the movement apart BUT to put it together again was not very easy as all the gearwheels must fit exactly where they have to be! <_<

It took me about 20 ! times before all the gears was on the right position!

The dial/hands is a Ziggified one that glows like he.......!

Changed to the longer cannonpin/hourwheel, look how much nicer finish the SWISS ( from Cousins!) cannonpin have than the asian one !

The case is a standard "cartel" one from 2006.

The caseback is from davidsen and is correct for a pam 002!

Well here is the result :D :What do You think about it ?

  3. Hi all!

I want a T-48 titanium crown from Tourby BUT he has no more T-48 titanium crown more ( if You do not want to wait for FOUR months!!!! )

So my question is: will it look nice/OK to use the T-60 titanium crown on my pam 061/177H ?

OR is it worth waiting for four months for a T-48 crown?

Some here have said that the T-60 actualla looks nicer than the correct T-48 crown because it looks wider than the T-48 !!??

    What do You think??? <_<

  4. Hi Wan , so You eventually got a EL case :)

I have not tryed to press the crystal in to the bezel, only the bezel WITH the crystal already mountedl!

But it is best if You have a crystalpress where You can screw the dyes down to have more controll when You press the crystal down!

And You must also have dyes that are so big that they fit round the crystal ( it must only press against the outer part of the crystal! ).

    .

And the dyes must be konvex inside so You do not crack the crystal ( easy to do if You press at the middle of the crystal!!) .

And last, You must be VERY careful when You press the crystal down so make sure that the crystal is absolutely straith over the case so it will not come down more on one side before the other.

    Good luck B)

  5. Thanks a lot Ubi. I have some dials that I can try it on!

Typically, there should be a little notch cut at 3:00, which can be used for alignment of the top and bottom layers. The strength and amount of glue can vary; some dials I've had were pretty difficult to split while others required little effort. Just one of those things that you won't know until you do it.
  6. Ok Thanks for that!

Is there a chance of damage the dial when You "split" the two dials? or is just glude a "little" ?? .

Is there any "spot" on the backside one of the dials where the dial should be placed so it will be perfectly aligend ?

To take apart a sandwich dial you can take a razor blade or a thin blade (modeller blade...). The two dials are usually glued. Wear gloves to avoid fingerprints on the upper dial.
  7. YES sometimes You have to be lucky! B)

    Klocklind,

You wan't believe it but this is the standard crown and crownguard.

This is my first ever rep i bought in 2006.

I bought it via Ebay and it came directly from a small factory in China

No modds done not even a canion pin fix.

    Carpe Diem

  8. I told Jay ( or nowadays ( John and Cassie!) that is MUST be a SWISS eta as I know it is VERY common to get a asian clone eta eaven if You have payed the extra $ for !

But I ordered the watches in the middle of february and got them now!!!

But it was worth the wait!

On his site it does not always say SWISS eta, only eta 2824 or 6497-1!

Damn.. you got lucky bro. I paid $240 delivered for that exact same SMP from him, but it had a clone ETA movement.

I think that this SMP is made by the same maker who makes the UPO, or the makers of the insert for the UPO and this SMP are the same, they have exactly the same pearl :)

  9. No I did not pay extra but I always get pictures of the movement BEFORE he ships to me!

225$ and it feels very nice and solid but You are right about the bracelet that has screws instead of pins but the pearl is better than the earlier SMP I think !!

Woah, thanks for the movement pic, that definitely looks like a gen ETA to me. I thought it was clone because of the datefont, that isn't ETA datefont, but for some reason they transferred the datewheel used in clone ETA movements into a real ETA movement.

Did you pay extra for the ETA movement, or did you pay his web price?

  10. Sorry but You wrong regarding the movement, it really IS a SWISS eta 2824-2 in both of the watches ( see picture!) !

I have VERY clear when I order a watch that is always IS an swiss eta!

I bought this exact same watch from Silix many months ago.. it came with a clone ETA movement.. the datefont on yours is not ETA, it was the same as mine.

This is now the SMP that the majority of dealers are selling, I haven't seen a SMP by a different factory being sold now for quite some time. Nevertheless its a very nice watch and IMO much better than the previous commonly available ETA SMP.

@Rolexman: The end links are multi-piece and the bracelet has screws.

  11. Thanks !

I bought it at the end of last year from a RWG member but the pictures of was quite bad so I was quick to say I buy it BEFORE better pictures was taken on it .

But it had a completely wrong backcase so I bought a brand new one like the one on the picture from Babola ( Thanks!) .

When I have the "new" T-48 ti crown and fixed the cannonpin I will be very happy with it!!

Really great looking PAM 61 and strap combo - one of the best 61's I've seen

Is it a recent purchase and if so could you say where from ?

    Cheers and thanks for sharing
