  1. Thanks...Why is this the most highly demanded watch amoungst gen. rolex collectors? Why are there 5 year waitlists for this watch at AD's? Seems like a SS daytona is the most highly overpriced timepiece of all time...My AD said somone offered him 15g cash to get one today, mind blowing if you ask me :-p Bytor, some days the black does nothing for me too, than I wear my white 1, thats why I have 3 :-P I match the watch color to my clothes usually even tho its tacky-who cares :-p
  2. Arrived this morning, anotehr daytona from andrew...This is my 3rd, I think this completes my obsession with this watch... Enjoy
  3. Got one from andrew and its pretty freakin good, ive had one from a scamsite which I thought was good and than I got one from andrew with all working chronos and its way better, more accurate... The 2 tone is from andrew, white ss is from another site notice how much better the 2 tone is
  4. The DD is a a 'blue vignette' its a little black around the edge and fades into a blueish color...Runs great, keeps great time, only problem which isnt really a problem is that it takes a little over 2 hours after midnight (12) to change the day reading but from what ive read thats normal, and its not a problem because when it changes day at midnight the watch is usually on my winder and im sleeping, the font is correct much better than my datejust actually which has messed up 2's on the datewheel...It also has a masterpiece bracelet which I love...
  5. No kidding, I had a problem with the 2 tone and sent it back to andrew just a minor problem, the crown doesnt spring out so I cant wind it but it keeps time if you wear it everyday i should have it back in 3 or 4 weeks I just sent it back to him, cost me like 7$ but its well worth it to have 1 of his guys look at it who know what there doing rather than some local guy...
  6. For a classic, semi sporty dress watch nothing beats a black datejust in my opinion...Depending on what you want you can get a nice one for 200 and change...
  7. All of them are saphire...Jiro you are the reason i got that 2 tone the thing is a major breadwinner and turns heads like crazy...Notice how much better/more accurate the 2 tone (fromr andrew) is than the SS daytona which was purchased from another site..
  8. Not a huge fan of the GMT's I kinda like the explorer 2's..I will end up getting them eventually..Only reason I got the sub was because it was 100 bucks, only rolex 'sport model' I truly love is the daytona
  9. Your saying after applying the cape cod, to use a wet cloth or run the watch under a little bit of water before using a drying cloth...I am using eye glass cloth to dry it, should I wet it before drying off? Archard, ebay or http://www.capecodpolish.ca/ they deliver anywere i think...When im not playing good cop bad cop(im a probation officer) my main love/hobby is cooking and I have quite an extensive knife collection (100 or so knives) I use the cape cod on them and it makes them shine, even better than the day I bought them...
  10. Heres my rolex rep collection left to right: Daytona SS, Daytona 2 tone, Datejust, Day Date, Submariner...sometime next week I will be recieving another Daytona SS (black dial) from andrew and that will comlpete my daytona obsession Enjoy! -Dave
  11. Curious, do you think it would work on 1 of andrews daytonas that I have...the 2 tone with 14k wrapped (i think tripple)? or would it take the wrapping straight off?
  12. Just got a bunch of these things I love them they make all my SS watches look brand new..How safe is the stuff? And does it work on two tones or would you avoid doing that? And how safe is it on the crystal? I was polishing my ss daytona and got a bit on the crystal, harmless or should i tape over crystal when applying?
  13. haha i usually use my colt knife and it works like a screw driver just this 1 frreakin screw..heating the link up? wouldnt that blacken the SS?
  14. I am having trouble getting a screw out of the band usually they come out easy with my knife but this freakin thing wont budge any suggestions?
  15. Haha, good one...I took it to a watchsmith and he said the spring is the problem and refused to fix it because it was a replica and he didnt have the right springs in stock...I offered to bring my SS in and have him swap the springs to make it work on the 2 tone than have andrew ship me a few springs to replace it in my SS to avoid having to ship it back overseas...
  16. Interesting, but you can actually wind the watch? I cant even get it to unscrew properly..It either can be unscrewed and popped out to set time, but than wen do 1 click down to try winding, it just screws back in clockwise within 2 turns and is on tight after that..And when trying to unscrew it gives resistance than almost gets loose tthan pops, than after the pop it gets back to giving more resistance and happens all over..Is that what happens to u?
  17. The thing is it gives resistance when trying to unscrew the crown it almost gets tighter when I try unscrewing it but when it gets loose after a rotation and pops, I stop and I can pull it only into hack time set position. And 1 click down from timeset which is winding, and rotate crown clickwise it just screws the crown back onto the case within 2 rotations. Doesnt wind at all
  18. Is this something a local watchsmith could fix?
  19. Can I just shake the watch violently to wind it up? Or should I just leave it on the watchwinder over night, seems like not big enough of a problem to send it back because im very pleased with everything else...Is there an alternative way to wind it besides wearing it daily and the watchwinder?
  20. Well getting it to hack time set isnt the problem, getting into 1st position winding position is the problem...Its just 1 click down from timeset? When I do it 1 click down from hack timeset, it sounds/feels like its winding but only for the duration it takes untill its screws fully back down...Actually i take that back it just screws back down doesnt really feel or sound like its winding...Its like, when i unwind the crown to get it into hack position, it doesnt pop out of the locking position...And to lock it you dont have to push the crown into the watch it just locks on its own without pushing the crown in conjunction with clockwise turns...
  21. The chronos work 100% stopwatch works perfect....Also second hand sweeps 50% smoother than the SS from bluefakes, and the top and bottom crowns work perfectly for stop, start, and reseting second hand...I just like to leave the chronos running so i have a second hand to look at sweeping =) http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...;products_id=12 Just to prove that the watch shown in above pics is from andrew: Products ------------------------------------------------------ 1 x ROLDYT-TT-SW-02 - Rolex Daytona TT White Dial - 7750b1 (ROLDYT-TT-SW-02) = $288.00 ------------------------------------------------------ Sub-Total: $288.00 Table Rate (1 x 13.00lbs) (EMS/TNT/FEDEX): $30.00 Total: $318.00 This is not the biggest problem as I will wear this watch daily most likely, and also have a watchwinder...Just confused as why to the crown wont fully unscrew and why it will go into hack timeset position without unscrewing fully...I unscrew it counter clockwise, and it gets tighter than 'clicks' and gets loose, than back around again gets tighter 'clicks' and gets loose...As soon as it clicks i pull crown out to hack position to set time...It just doesnt uncsrew fully as it should like my other daytona
  22. Both watches on hack movement time setup: Its almost like the crown on the 2tone doesnt fully unscrew and pop out
  23. Hmm..When I wind it clockwise it just gets tighter and screws the crown in..? It doesnt seem to have a 1st position? Just a time set positon, and wen i push it down 1 click it and turn it clockwise it just tightens the crown down..Only reason i want to wind it is because I just got it today....Im going to take pics of my SS daytona side by side with the crown fully pulled on both in the time set position and notice the difference
  24. Thanks! When I do that and wind it, it seems to almost make a click noise after every rotation is that, like I turn it anti clockwise it makes the winding noise, gives more resistance as you wind a full rotation and seems to get tighter, than "pops" almost and gets looser again, than happens over and over...is that correct? And to wind it, you turn it anti clockwise?
  25. Just got this in the mail this morning from Andrew and I must say this blows my other Daytona SS from bluefakes out of the water: Having functioning chronos, and the stopwatch is freakin awesome I love it!! This is by far my best rep to date. Just one question, which crown is the winding crown? And which direction? The middle crown when I turn it clockwise just screws it in, and wen i wind it counter clockwise it soudns like its winding but than makes a click sound after a rotation?
