  1. Interesting info mendota, thanks a bunch...I dont like the fact that the watches will rub against the plexi but I guess you can just leave the top open if thats the case...As long as it works for 6months to a year ill get my 50 bucks worth
  2. I think this is a great idea~
  3. Sporting my new 005 today
  4. That stinks lanakai, indeed its a great price im sure you can find another seller than will ship to you...Just wondering how genuine these are? Ive seen them retailing for 800 bucks, are these winders knockoffs?
  5. My old watch winder just broke down so I ran a search on ebay and there seems to be a bunch of great options...I just dont understand how they are so cheap? This 8 winder + 4 holder which normally retails for close to 900$ has buy-it-now for 70 bucks - i dont understand? Are they cheap asian knockoff watch winders or are they the same quality products that retail for close to a grand? Would love to hear from some people who have bought these winders on ebay, any input would be greatly appreciated! I got this one for 50 bucks, I dont think it gets any better than that...

    My 005

Thanks guys, what makes my CG better? I dont know much about pam's...Heres some requested pics: Last night I was kind of disappointed because the lume is lackluster...I assume the sandwich dials lume is much better but still I thought it would be a little better than it was...Other than that this watch is awesome and a great value buy @ 130$

    My 005

Andrew...Ive never bought a rep from anywere else...Gotta pick your dealer and stick with them, and andrew is a great one at that, he stands behind all of his products and makes purchasing an enjoyable proccess - this is my 8th watch from him and out of the 8 ive only had a problem with 1 (my tt daytona) but he fixed the problem at no charge...This 005 is the cheap version w/ synth sapphire and 21j movt, got it for $130 I believe and it was well worth it! Heres a black croc strap I just put on Thanks for helping me in choosing my 1st pam, you guys pointed me in the right direction and I absolutely love this watch! Thanks again

    My 005

Got this in the mail this morning, lovin it!
  10. Anytime guys, glad to be of help to yall
  11. Thanks guys!! Heres another interesting diagram I found in regards to regulating time, although its a little confusing: Im not that concerned either but my daytona running 4 secs a day fast is just enough to annoy me...i want it to be +/- 1sec is which is within COSC specs...Also, does anyone actually wash there watch with warm water and soap?? I would think soap would be harsh on the SS... Since this is applicable to all auto's perhaps a moderator can move this to the general discussion section
  12. Damn, gota wait an extra 6 days for my BCE and 005 China gets a week holiday, and we get 1 lousy stinkin Columbus Day ! We should get a week off, the guy discovered that the earth was round for cryin out loud...
  13. Dont wana hijack topic but I want to do the same exact thing with my sub...How are those 'aftermarket' bezel/inserts on ebay? Hows the quality/How close are they to the gen inserts?
  14. Awesome...thanks for the replies guys, interesting so this does indeed apply to all auto's.. - my daytona has been running around 4 seconds fast a day, gonna give this a try and see how it works because i dont want to open the caseback as it has been enduring my daily showers/handwashing with ease, dont want to ruin this because i know once i pop the back it will not keep the water out as good...
  15. Interesting...So this applies to all automatic watches? I wonder why this is...
  16. its known as "positional correction"
  17. I was just wondering, because I know with gens this trick actually works, but does it hold true to our rolex reps? If your watch is running a little fast OR a little slow, Rolex suggests the following: When you take your watch off at night, lay it in a position that assists in adjusting the time without the help of a specialist. If your Rolex is a little slow during the day, lay it flat, with dial up as this position tends to gain a few seconds during the course of the night. If the watch is running a few seconds fast, lay it in a vertical position with the crown down as this position will tend to lose a few seconds per night. If your Rolex is running several seconds fast per day, lay it in a vertical position with the crown up. This position tends to lose a few more seconds per night that the previously suggested position.
  18. Are all those reps? They look great, the FG is suprisingly sharp looking, love it... were'd you pick up the silver dial DD?
  19. Lovely watch...Big fan of these datejusts wear it in the best of health
  20. Starting the week off with a classic
  21. I have a TT daytona from andrew that is 14k wrapped and its beautiful...I'm not sure if its the same bracelet that comes with the sub...Its a couple extra bucks for the 14k wrap opposed to the plated gold but well worth the extra 20 bucks IMO
  22. I hate to do this on a random thread but TTK if you could msg me in regards to you AP RO I have a question for you, your inbox is full...Thanks! Were are you seeing this GMT w/ 2836? If your actually looking for a GMT i suggest you check out by-tors recent guide...If your looking for a "Noobmariner" than run a quick search for that theres a bunch of great info on these forums, the real noobmariner does not have ETA movt tho, but it is very accurate visually...
