hmm.. let's copy my reply to your post as also posted in the same Repgeek thread:
Brother it is not only etiquette..
It is the safest and best way to get a replica. Yes, you might find it somewhere else a couple of usd cheaper mayby, but you don't know what you get. And with reps, service and warranty are very important. Often quality issues with reps and dropshipping..
So better stick to the trusted dealers.
Not sure why this thread is started in the Panerai sections though...

Dani, this is from Wikipedia, from the link member 'Gert-Jan' posted here. Decide for yourself, but imo, the badge and parts of the badge are a symbol of DC MAS. And thus for their beliefs and ideology in those days...

Holy Cow! amazing. Just transferred the money to your PP Okabum!!
And in your post you write:
'Cooming soon
Brass tube and crown for 6152
and much more'
I wonder what else you still could think off to do more. Man, you had plexi's, spring bars, CG, Crown, Tube, buckles... Now a 1:1 case?
-
I think you have to sell more than just your car for this baby... has been around for some time now as well already. at least a year
-
Nice, but it goes beyond on of the goals of this board, having reputable dealers who have to comply with the demands of the admins of this board in order to be able to sell to the members of this board, protecting the membership.
So imo best value is buy from the boards' dealers. Best value for price, shipments, quality and after sales service.
Just my 2c.

Thanks. Don't have the skills and tools for this, but my local watch smith does. Will use it on my fully modded pam252 and 156 later. Thanks so much.
Have to say, once in a while a very rare and quality wise good informative modding thread is started. This is one of them.
-
often very simple to fix. Can't believen you actually ordered first another model.
chrono sec. hand needs to be repositioned. Most watch smiths can do it. You should consult one and not send it all the way back to China for such a small thing.
A full service is not really needed. The Seagul ST19 movements which are in these watches are quite good, but can be costly to service.
-
I even doubt that it is the Ultimate version. The ultimate version straps are a bit less soft than the normal straps is my experience. At least the strap on my pam156 ultimate was a bit harder than the normal soft ones. And that ultimate strap does not attract dust at all.
This one seems to attract LOTS of dust, according to the pictures. So I guess you got fooled and payed 66usd for a 40usd strap (excl. shipping).
edit: I hope you can still give negative feedback on ebay for selling a rep strap as gen.

Hi Deniz, wish you all the best! Must be also good for some weight loss.
Don't eat too much at night before going to sleep, or you will get fat!
And about Christmas, I think that is celebrated by many people, many religion, also people who don't have a religion. I just hope that this thread is not going toward the direction that will cross rule number 6 of RWG.
Cheers buddy!

Hi Ddebo,
just couldn't help thinking your your strap, the grey one and the blue one. Really like them. Where did you get these straps?
-
Big boy... that pam!
What kind of AR did you use?
-
come on, these are reps, and reps, no matter they are 200usd or 700usd, they have the same reliability. It is just because when people are paying more, they are expecting a better reliability as well, which is so much not the case.. A rep is a rep and will always be a rep.
If you want to have it fixed, cheapest is to have it shipped back to the factory in China. But you have to be willing to bear the customs risk though. And you will not have the watch for around 8 weeks. But some watch smiths I know also take 8 weeks to repair a watch.

Looks stunning!
Was wondering.. who/what is Hixxy?
-
And don't forget, it also has been discussed many times before on this forum, if you go ETA you don't know what kind of movement you get. Definitely not a movement from a sealed plastic bag straight from the ETA factory which is properly cleaned and oiled. So you could get a refurbished movement or a movement from the shelf which has been on that shelf for many years. After around 5-7 years, even un-used, a movement needs a service.
So don't think you are there by paying 300usd for the ETA. Expect another 200usd to get it properly serviced.
Therefore I think investing in a A7750 and get that properly serviced is the better choice any day of the year if you're on a budget.

In gen only bezel is made of ceramic. Pushers are made of dlc coated titanium. Same in the ultimate rep.
Thank you for your replies buddies!
And how about the push buttons of the chrono on the watch? A friend of mine claims that on the gen they are ceramic, but I can't seem to find any info on that. All I find is Ti Dlc...
-
Hi,
I was thinking about buying the Ultimate version of the Survivor. On the gen, the protectors of the pushers are made from ceramic.
How is this on the replica?
-
You could use that indeed, for a Daylight Chrono.
I have a couple of those as well. New. thinking of 45usd shipped, pp as gift, to let go of mine. They are new, never worn. If SERIOUSLY interested, can make pics. Then send me a pm. From EU. Cheers, buddy.

Not sure I will see this watch as I received a letter from the UK Border Agency yesterday asking for details about the contents of the package. Not sure they have opened it so I sent a letter to them which they should receive today. I will not say what it contained just yet but if they decide to open it then I'm knackered for future rep deals at my address used!!
@ Watcher: what shipping method was used on your parcel? Fedex? DHL, or something else?
-
Submersible you mean...
nice watch. also like your straps. good choice, nice taste!

A review of John's strap (Dangerous9straps).
Yesterday I received my strap from John. From the USA to Holland in just 3 days. Super duper fast eh?! And it looks absolutely stunning .
I just put in on my watch and wrist and it won
-
Haha, just what I expected.. Just believe me, you don't want that watch. It's not even a replica, since it does not replicate anything.
Since you are new to the game, please take a look here:
And to see what real Panerai look like: www.panerai.com
Cheers buddy!

Awesome Txcollector! Looks superb. I used to have the older version of the Ice Bang, but hated the bezel. Your bezel looks awesome, as well as the crystal. By the way, the bezel is completely of Ti? I was under the assumption that the Hublot bezels of these IceBangs were from steel with a grey pvd coating. If it is Ti, I might consider buying.

Read, read, ask, then buy!
Start here if you are new to reps.
-
better ask the dealers who is taking customs risk when sending it back to the dealers and receiving it back from them to the US...
And swapping dials should be around 30-40usd. And yes.. this is all in the rep game. You'd better be prepared.
.
And if you need to send it to Vac or Zig, then better let them relume the hands as well, while you at it. the day date only has small lume on the hands, but then you directly have a superb watch.

Ok, many members talk about dirty and under or over oiled movements. Of course this is true, but many of those movements still function quite well (until they stop). The reason why your movement stopped could be many things. From some dirt in the wrong place, a hair stuck in somewhere or a small case screw on the loose inside the movement, who can tell...?
So meaning, the movement does not necessarily needs to have a service or some kind. Although it will benefit greatly from it.
If it was my watch, I would first bring it to a local watch smith to take a look what is going on. In most cases the problem is easily and cheaply resolved. Always better than sending the watch back to China with all the customs and shipping risk ahead...
just my 2 cents... Good luck!
