That's awesome. It would be fun to attend one of these one of these days. Great stuff.

Very nice. I do think the rubber tread strap is one of the best things about the Chopards. Thanks for posting this.
If you can, I would like an update some time down the road on how well the gold holds up!!

That looks good. I had looked for that thread earlier and couldn't find it. Thanks for linking it up again.

I am in the IT field and I would have to agree most people have their blackberry attached to their belt or in the hands lol. I am probably one of the few who only carries it in the pocket.
Hah...I'm in IT, married, kids, etc...so I'm completely uncool on many fronts...but I still have to agree with a lot of it. I keep my Blackberry in my pocket...on the belt it's a little too Dilbert-onian for me.
Manpris?? I just had this discussion with a couple friends. One friend likes them for working out...we understand the practicality of having your knees covered for certain activities, but can't do it because they're...well...their Manpris...kind of like the "Bro" or "Brossiere".
Deep V's. Brutal. Hate 'em...especially given 99% of the people who wear them are hairy like a primate or skinny as twigs...making things look way too waif like.
Scarves? No Can do.
But cargo shorts? I like mine. And remember...nowhere in the article did it say men don't like them or that the items listed aren't popular...it was all about what men like that women DON'T.
Ok...so I either agree with much of the article, or I'm a self-fashion Geek.

so as soon as the case arrives to PreV.. we can get the party on the road..did someone have a dial yet??
I've got a modern Sub dial from the wokky Sub with the F423118 serial but it has a missing lume dot. I don't know if it can be used. Let me know if it can be and I can take it out of the Sub and send it on...

Hah hah...nice responses...Andy's guns are SMOKIN'...

Don't know of one in Sweden, but in the EU look up Domi, Bricciola and possibly Francisco here on the forum.

great stuff...it's a good one for a gen. I wear mine all the time.

Interesting strap. It's a good showcase for the nice croc grain...and it's got that grungy 60's styling...

I agree with Mickey Padge...going high end for the first one is a good one to be shocked into how much fun lays ahead for the hobby.
Congrats...and great first post. Thanks for spending the time to post and share.
BTW...do you find the lever gets in the way or digs into your wrist at all??

Interesting. To be honest...I like the B&R's in general as desk clocks. I'm serious about that...with the desk clock mount...they're quite neat. I can't pull one of these off...but the design is interesting. Lumed, they're quite cool.

That is a great collection. Sharing is what it's all about here. Awesome...and welcome to the forum. The BCE is beautiful. Youd don't see that dial colour too often. Great stuff.

That's awesome. How much would one of these movements be???

Blues

Movement complications or performance...bingo...oh and market demand.
Think about the SS Daytonas...more expensive often than the gold ones because people want the SS ones more.

When your wife is wondering if you're sick because you put on clothes in the morning before you put on your watch.

I was considering getting a Breitling Skyland... not a fan of loud watches though.
Funny thing is...my Skyland is one of the few watches I haven't had serviced, and it's one one of the quietest...funny that. Gotta love reps...

That's awesome. Let me know if there's anything I can do...or if there's parts you need. I might have some. I have some crowns leftover from a project Ubi helped me with.
The real question is, will it be better than TeeJay's??

I love your 300...awesome. I keep thinking of getting the rep...then I see yours and know I couldn't do the rep...unless Stephane's DRSD MM did mods to the hands, dial, caseset, insert, etc...
My first rep........
Awesome. Good to see you in the Wrist Checks and again...welcome to the board...a great entry to the Wrist Checks.
Hey F!...nicely done...that watch matches perfectly with your signature...nice coordination...
You and Hike and your Chopards...great pieces...but Hike's signature pic is just a little...ummm...distracting.
Awesome pic Red!!! Beautiful.

That's funny.

Like Rosnik said...there is the issue of poor Asian quality. I've had some serviced where they came back silent, and others come back definitely quieter and smoother but not silent. This could be because of different factories making the movement and different levels of quality.
Would you pay $800 for a new, fully-assembled, Asian 7760-powered vintage Daytona with asymmetrical pushers?

It's interesting.
A few questions for you...
Is this an A7760 configured from the factory or is this like the Spinmaster A7750 with the auto-winding pieces (rotor, reversing wheel, etc) removed?
Does this movement have asymmetrical pushers out of the box, or does it have to use some cam system like the Graham's?
Finally, am I correct in understanding that the movement will not come serviced but new and "out of the box"?
Thanks. It's a good looking piece.
