  1. Just had a mail back from king; she's sending a replacement Now hope for the best
  2. Got back today from a business trip and found the receipt of a FedEx package waiting for me at the postoffice :-) All the excitement and feel good mood on my way to the postoffice.. most of you would recognize the feeling But after opening the well packed envelope and after a closer look, dissapointment pushed away the feel good mood.. This time it's not the datefont but more the "chrome" finish on both the sub-dials that bothers me... Seems that the upper half is OK, but where the "chrome" ring lays over the lower half the dial the paints 'bleeds' through.... hmmmm Hope you guys have better luck, I've send King an mail, hopefully she's able to replace the dial, sad because the overall quality is beyond expectation and it's definately a keeper ! The price of being an early adopter
  3. Just ordered the "red needle" from King.. Couldn't resist..... I'll write a review when it has landed on my doorstep
  4. Red hands without doubt.! Anyone had a word back from King about the price.? I mailed her but I guess she's still enjoying a New Years day off.
  5. Sure, I'll be happy to send it out to you for de mods, do you feel confident enough in the printing process..? I mean, if I send it out, there is "no way back" if for whatever reason the printing fails.. If you trust the new printer, I'll be the first to send it out to you
  6. WOW, that's 35 exciting Ingy owners lined up already Please Lello, make this happen
  7. I have a few spare links including the "half" link, it's yours if you want, did you lose the pins as well .?
  8. Count me in for one! thanks for starting such a project !
  9. There is a long discussion going on at TRC regarding the new and long anticipated Mille Miglia GT (LINK) PT is doing his best to get this on the market and by looks of it, it will take until after X-mas before everyone will be broke again.. To my surprise, Paul-Mart has it already on presale (whatever that means in Paul-Mart terms) but it does give us a good idea how it will look and damn, it's hot !! I want this real bad
  10. 6 Reps, IWC Ingy, IWC Portuguese, Omega PO, Omega SMP, Panerai 5218/201A, Panerai 050 3 Gens, Heuer Monza, Heuer Kirium, Heuer Formula1 (only watch I use for a dive :-))
  11. Always a pleasure can't wait to see a number on these pictures so I can order ..
  12. Hmmm indeed.. Droooooollllll Here's the gen:
  13. Agree, it does look great! On timezone there are high res pics : http://www.chronometrie.com/sihh2005/iwc/G...genieur_AMG.jpg Sad to see that the caseback doesn't match.. Wo-marts version has the correct caseback but the rest is way off.... guess I'll have to buy both to get one 99.992%
  14. Have you checked Josh' new AMG..? Datefont seems a bit bolder - experts out there could tell if it's more realistic - If only the caseback would be correct I'd say I'll chip in US$ 250 Any thougths.?
  15. Yup, can't access it either, Josh must be doing some maintenance or so
  16. Damn, you fooled me at first sight. I didn't look at the subdials and was focussed on the black datewheel, since I haven't found a nice SLR with black datwheel I assumed it was real. After having a second and third look, the subdials are wrong plaus the pushers and crown are off. nevertheless, the dial, except for the indices, looks spot on. Where dit you get it .?
  17. Nice gen. docblackrock Love this piece, excellent finish and build quality, had one in my hands last month and was very very tempted to pull out my CC. If you ever think of selling... let me know, there are hard to get in NL
  18. Very easy, 5 minute job at the most and no risk of damaging anything. Besides that, it sure is worth the money !
  19. Bignasty is right, and here's the proof : You see, the tip of the pin is smaller to fit the altered hands, I've also tried to fit the chrono seconds hand and no way it'll fit. Guess the Eta will go back where it came from : the Bay
  20. Simply install the datewheel and adjust time untill a date change, that's 12 PM so install the hands in 12 'o clock position. If you don't have date, after you've installed hour hand adjust time untill hand is aligned to 12 position, then install minute hand.. That coming from someone who just ruined a GST..
  21. Wow, I just woke up this morning, checked the thread and 34 posts already with lots of good advice, thanks guys! There are a number of good hints and tips and I will certainly try most of them -heck- it's ruined anyway so why not enjoy the practice It all looks so damn simple if you read other members post on fixing this or modding that, but the fact is; it's watchmaking and it takes skills and experience... TTK is right, let others do the job. I've just discovered I accidentally scratched the dial as well, just light but ugly. I'll die trying probably but I will get an ETA in my most favorite watch... It does fit ! and it wasn't hard to fit at all.. The ETA came with a white datewheel so I had to replace it anyway , but yes it does fit..
  22. Why not fixate the hands at 12h00 with glue and wear it one minute a day.
  23. I also used a hand removing tool, that's the easy part (theoretically) but putting them back... man...
