  1. Thanks for the kind words guys.. For those who haven't understood this is not a rep..
  2. Guys is this a short lug case?
  3. Well as I said after a period of 2 years I decided to get a new watch.. It is not that I couldn't buy any but I was VERY VERY happy with my 112 (I still am of course) so I didn't felt the need for one. But the right deal came knocking at my door and I had to say yes.. I have to be honest that in the past I had a rep 036 MM and I didn't liked the brown dial.. It was too brown. I knew though from the original photos that the rep makers have screwed with the colour but still I was a bit cautious. So I found a LIKE NEW tobacco dial 118 E series in a great price and I thought to give it a try.. And boy am I happy :D Of course the colour of the dial is nothing close to the reps.. It is not brown.. It has a smokey greyish brown colour (don;t know how to explain it better) which is AMAZING in real life.. Now? I think I my pair of 112-118 has the best of both worlds.. Stainless steel - Titanium Base - Seconds Black dial - Tobacco dial Sandwich dial - Painted dial CDG decoration - Panerai Panerai decoration on the movement New thick crown guard - Old thin crown guard Both have L dial and display casebacks which are a MUST for me. Anyway.. here it is with a custom made XXL Marlboro strap by me with a titanium MF buckle. The ULTIMATE combo to be honest.. but I have some other straps in the making.. The dark brown stitchless Marlboro and the Ammo on the 112 will go to the 118 as well Btw.. I got the watch only by selling some of the hi-end straps of my collection.. Yes I had THAT expensive straps and I still have my favourite ones in my case Enjoy the photos... and the brown strap:
  4. no need to put an h series cg on the 63. it will be totally inaccurate it needs a jimmyfu cg
  5. ok.. fair enough... so TH what photo shows a pam with 52 teeth?
  6. Read the quotes from UJ and you see you are wrong about that... 1. ...I've taken a pic that I hope may help. Top is an auto, bottom left is an A (series) HW, bottom right is a B (series) HW. BTW, I really don't care how many teeth they have so long as it fits properly. 2. ...Removed a CG from an A and also got 48... and conratulations being able to see from photos how many teeth exactly the crowns have. Because me the retarded I couldn't count properly the one i have in front of me.
  7. You don't understand that it is not me who should be convinced but 't' here wants us to tell him 100000000% sure what is the case with Pam crowns... Something similar happened in the other thread and someone said the gen had 60 teeth...and everyone else agreed. 700 crowns after (amazingly made but inaccurate), it is not funny or a game speculating in this thread especially with t's pocket... Facts are facts... and facts say that Pams have 48 teeth and unless you have a watch that has 52 teeth on it and you can count them yourself for me they are at least questionable whatever their construction is.
  8. Again without anyone holding any crown on his hand on a genuine watch, you assume from photos that you can see 4 teeth difference.. I counted my oem crown and even by counting i sometimes did a mistake of 2-3 teeth. So please unless you have proof (and by proof i mean a watch that has a 52 teeth crown ON IT and you can COUNT IT - not by photos) that Panerai produced 52 teeth crowns, the only OEM crown is the 48 teeth that we have counted on more than 10 watches on this forum (especially Jay with his older models). At the end it makes me think that all of you 52 teeth owners must convince yourselves they are genuine for the price you paid...
  9. Now that is proper Vintage !!!! Excellent work .. Amazing watch
  10. Happy birthday Scot Amazing straps.. You are definately one of the best strapmakers out there
  11. Jay I think this is the best way to know for sure
  12. Kruz we all say that t crowns are great and that who cares for more teeth.. but honestly I have to say that since every single one crown on the genuine watches we have the members here has 48 teeth saying that the teeth vary from model to model has no substance at all unless someone has a crown ON a watch. Jay has more models and he can compare more for us to be more sure. I do believe that the turkish guys crowns are great quality and equaly made as the gen but having 52 teeth while every gen we have has 48 makes them at least questionable... Who cares? No one because honestly 4 teeth is laughable diference BUT we shouldn't put them in the mix here when T is asking us to tell him 100000% sure how many teeth the gen has. From now as far as we know the genuine PANERAI crowns have ONLY 48 teeth.

  14. I thought kruz bought a big quantity from the turkish guy for a better price for the forum... You know what I think.. science fiction but maybe true... The turkish guy got ahold of the pre-v designs that float around the forums.. With them he could replicate the tube part of the crown but he couldn't count the teeth to make the correct number.. He only had one side of the crown.. he then multiplied that x 4 to find out the teeth.. but he probably counted one more hence the 4 teeth more than the original.
  15. Just makes me wonder now how gen are the Turkish's 'gen' crowns on ebay
  16. Yes.. the 008 is the Ferrari you should get.
  17. Anyway it really doesn't matter what lever exactly it is... It is definately not the packaging of a crown so no reason for Jay to show it in it But indeed the H series cg lever is MX0025DV .. so if they sold it to you as lever for the 29 that means that all cgs A-now have the same lever.
  18. I reposted this in your comparison 000 thread.. The package is from a cg 'lever'!!! It has a MX code which means it is an H series cg lever.. Earlier A-E series levers had PAV code... Did you got that crown in this package? How sure you are it is gen?
  19. Btw the package from a cg lever!? Tha package has a MX code which means it is an H series cg lever.. Earlier A-E series levers had PAV code... Did you got that crown in this package?
  20. T, I should have participated in the original thread and counted my h series cg which is definately gen....
  21. I would love to learn which models have 60 teeth IF ANY.. Pre-V though have 48 as rolli showed us in the blueprints so it didn't changed through time.. I think there is a visual difference as you can see from the following photo... Left t crown correct thickness less teeth and right rep crown correct teeth but too thin...
