  1. Hi all, I just received a cheap, fun AP ROO from a very good dealer on iOffer. I'll post pix later today.

Of course the watch is huge on me, and the rubber strap's deployant is at a bad angle and digging into my wrist. I'd like to replace the strap with one that has a regular buckle.

I know someone here found a source for AP ROO replacement straps, but I can't seem to find it via the Search function.

In advance, I thank you very much!

  2. I have 2 of those AP RP chronos, and because of the integrated endlinks the first bracelet links are somewhat inflexible, I assume the watch was sent in the customary bubble wrap & padded envelope. All it would take is some very heavy package dumped on the envelope to break the bracelet, I'm sure this happened in transit.

    Anyway, ask for new bracelet.

Too bad, I could have sold you one of mine for a very special female members price, pre-sized for slim wrist :)

  3. For the record I am a gay member of this forum and gay issues are not a theoretical or semantic nicety.

In the U.S. there are blatantly discriminatory laws that have a direct impact in my life. The government does not recognize my partner and myself, we are like two strangers living under one roof. Please try to imagine what sort of complications this causes.

I just got back from watching the gay pride parade here in Chicago. Once a year gays take over the street and march to show that we exist in every imaginable walk of life - doctors, lawyers, union trades, government, corporate. We are your neighbors and co-workers. Like it or not, we are a part of and contribute to society.

People who make deragotory remarks about gay people and their sympathizers, well, I'm not going to say but you know what I'm thinking.

As for Newsom's watch, looks like a Seiko almost. He should go back to Pams.

  4. You are looking for higher quality rep leather goods, I'd be interested in that too, but I am very skeptical.

I took the plunge into rep handbags, bought an LV Epi Jasmine handbag from one of our good dealers after reading other members good reviews of this bag. To be honest, I was very disappointed.

The leather really looks and feels like viny I hate to say.

I won't name the dealer because he took care of my prob with the bag, the first bag came dented, wasn't sent in a box, duh. It also had black paint or dye marks on the brass zipper, and smelled like a mildewed barnyard, seriously.

So I had to send it back at my expense (god how I hate that) and the second one was somewhat better, at least it smelled like cheap leather. But honestly, this one looks and feels like black vinyl, I went to LV boutique in Chicago and looked at gen, this rep doesn't even come close, it's laughable, really.

I paid $170 for the pleasure of this educational experience.

I'd like to be proven wrong, but right now I'm very leery of rep leather goods.

  5. Yeah, good luck putting that all back together successfully, I give you credit.

All I can think of is The Zigmeister's comments when he puts the movement back together expertly and it still doesn't work right, how then he has to take certain parts off and put them back on with different amounts of pressure, much trial and error, unbelievable patience that guy has.
