I know this watch is 43mm case size and I would love to have one in RG/black dial, but my wrist is 6.5" in circumference and I think it will be too big.

I'm getting a real kick out of my cheap quartz PO chrono from Trusty Andrew.

I know it's not the correct size and it's quartz but the subdial size and layout is closer to gen than the current asian 7750 version.

The steel bracelet it comes with is garbage, so I installed it on a rep black rubber Seamaster strap I got from Andrew awhile ago. It looks really sharp with this strap, sets off the orange bezel beautifully. I love wearing this watch!

If my memory serves me right Trusty Andrew gave Josh's gold Daytonas a strong endorsement when they were introduced. He said the plating was some of the best on the market at that time.

I say go for it, I love the look of the gold Daytona with black dial.

Well after the IWC Portuguese debacle this is a refreshing and pleasant surprise.

I'm sure Joshua will be busy this weekend processing orders for this.

Neil, I agree with you regards the Golden Age of Reps, I've been collecting now for 3 years.

I know this is irrational but, sometimes I find myself in a slight panic thinking what I should buy next before they all get taken away. There are a few reps I'm mildly interested in, I keep thinking I should acquire them before this wonderful replica world gets destroyed by people who don't approve of what we have here.

We both have dual & separate checking accounts and it's easy, too easy for me to impulse buy.

Ahem, expert here with 6.5" wrist.

I got my first 44mm pam a few months ago, before that I resisted, thinking it was too big. But I caved, and glad I did, I think it looks very cool. The watch covers my whole wrist, but the lugs stop right at wrist edge. That is the key, if the lugs go beyond your wrist, I think it looks too big.

With your 6.7" wrist you'll be fine.

Yeah the white datewheel, doesn't bother me.

I 'd say the biggest flaw is the case size, mine is 42mm and the gen is 45.

I have Trusty's inexpensive quartz PO chrono, and I like it a lot.

The subdials size and spacing on this watch is much closer to the gen than the 7750 auto.

I put a rep Black rubber Seamaster strap on it and it loooks really sharp, a lot of bang for the buck.

May I ask, how big is your wrist? I want one but I have skinny 6.5" wrist, this may be too big for me.

Sounds good. The last time we visited Manhattan, 3 years ago, I visited Tourneau.

I remember the displayed watches were really dirty, full of fingerprints, and the case backs were sticky from the price decals melting in the glare of the display lighting, blech.

There were a bunch of disinterested salespeople standing around, not seeming to eager to show me stuff. The place looked really sad.

Oy, no I didn't file a hit/skip report with police. Not sure where to file such, my neighborhood police station?

This happened in business district, 3.5 miles from where I live.

I have a pristine driving record, no tickets, no accidents for 30 years.
