Looks pretty good P! For some reason the state of the dial doesn't bother me. It gives it a vintage look which I actually like. Did the rep hands fit the gen movement?

Hands are in and installed. Watch is running great. Just waiting for the crystal to come back from Rocketeer (UK AR run......) Hope next week

I actually received the complete hand and dial set. So the gold hands are gen too. Unfortunately the large blue hand had a different shade of blue than the small one (can you believe it ) I'm expecting a matching set next week. The carbon spacer I made myself. With these tiny tolerances, it's much easier to sand down than steel. @ Dan: try Concepta. He might be able to help you! @ kgbagent: not taking orders for this mod! Took me way too long!

Stay away man. As soon as you pick up the watch you will be robbed. If he puts it on the bay for a "by it now price" of $3300,- it's gone the same day! Why would he sell it for 1/10th of that price!

I might have one for sale pretty soon. It's a beauty! It has a gen dial, gen black croc strap, Eta day/date wheels, C1 relumed hands, Chiefs AR. Won't be cheap though! PS: the dial and strap are brand new and not via Ebay!

If the difference is less than 1mm, I probably know how to fix it. I'm expecting a movement this week so I'll let you know. Ciao, Sander

He Shu, What is the problem you see? I have heard it's thinner than the rep so the movement sits higher in the case. because of this the stem doesn't line up. Is this true? Is there perhaps a way you can measure the difference between the rep and the gen?

When I turned off the light one day, I saw a Big Pilot laying on my desk which I didn't know it was there.... When I turned the light on again, I saw it was the 2003 IWC catalogue. It's pretty funny because you don't see it in normal day light. Here's a pic next to my relumed dial.

Good tools are a must if you would do more than just changing straps. Just bought the newest Bergeon screwdriver set and a new Waldmann light. Tools are important but so is the light. What a difference it is when I compare it with a normal lamp. I think it's a good investment. These tools last for ever!

It looks really lovely man. Hope you enjoy wearing it. The mods you can do are the CG pin fix and maybe try to find a crown wheel and a ratchet wheel with polished teeth. For the rest it seems pretty good to me. Ciao, Sander PS: is it sapphire and how is the AR?
