  1. That's great! Love the CP mod!!

I have the same mods on my 25A (minus the CP), but I have a question about your gen rubber. Does the strap move freely, or because of the short lugs, does your strap stay snug against the case?

You really should have the CP mod done. it's a huge difference!

The strap is a tight fit but no problem. they do not move freely when you hold the case but you can move them with some light pressure.

  2. That'll look really nice once you install the T-48, but I think you should try to source a cartel or TB ti CG altogether as the DSN one is too thin on the underside side of the lever, making the over all CG housng too thin in general.

I'm sorry but I'm not really a PAM guy. Who or what is TB?

@ w0lf: Like always I removed the AR on a buffing machine. Quick and easy!

  3. Finally after 17 day's I received my DSN 25D. I know we have some problems here with the post but 17 days seem way too long. Anyway it's here.

Some other members already wrote some reviews about it so there is no need for me to write one.

Although it's a great watch straight out of the box, I thought it needed some modding. (you know me  )

    The mods I did:

Replaced the movement for a serviced one

Installed a new cannon pinion (see here: http://www.rwgforum....-7750-movement/ )

    Installed a Lello datewheel

Installed a crystal from a pam 199 ultimate and removed the AR

    Installed a gen rubber strap

    Installed a gen deployment.

    Mods to do:

Replacing crown for T48 (it's on the way)

Replace the glossy paint on the bezel for matt paint

Some extra finishing on the CG.

Looks pretty good I must say.

The date nice in the middle of the cyclops and the new pinion is really a great improvement.

Sorry for the poor pics but with this shitty weather it's the best I can do.

  4. I will pretend i didnt even hear this part...

First of all, i dont see in his post that he didnt touch it before.. it could be a case of bad assembly from the beginning, or yes could be the case of something broken inside, inclusive the ratchet wheel that you suggest.

I also did heard him saying he can normally pull the crown in and out and set the time... he said that the crown does not turn...

The stem can be fully in, even being able to set the time, but not correctly inserted...

You might be right but there is nothing like an easy check before sending the watch to be repaired. Anyway it will be probably cheaper to get a new movement than sending it up for servicing (although not the same thing of course)

And we all know that most of them sooner or later are going to die anyway... so not sure whether its really worthy to pay for a servicing unless you know it going to last...

    just my 2c

Sorry mate but you are very wrong.

If the stem is not in the right place, there is no way to push the stem fully in and out and set the time.

You actually might be able to wind it without a problem though

  5. It sounds like your ratchet wheel is damaged and missing some teeth now.

Because you will have metal filings in the movement, the only option is a complete overhaul and replacing the defective part.

An asian ratchet wheel will be hard to find and a swiss won't fit. So it is not an easy problem.

  6. Here you go. I took the measurements of the APROO bracelet and the second pic is a side view of a conversion link so that you can measure that the hole of the bracelet is in the right spot.

Better start measuring before you order.

I know for sure that the gen wil not fit the ROO bracelet. Perhaps the reps are the same. I don't think so though.

  7. I have two IWC reps - Big Pilot 5004 from Josh and a Top Gun V2 Asian 7750. Both have issue where the crown does not lock back in place. This happend after a few weeks of use. Is there any solution for this problem? Is this a problem with the crown tube being soft and wearing out? Is there any solution to this?

    Thanks for your help.

Yep, the crown tube for the BP is a problem. I haven't seen a problem with the Top Gun though.

  8. I ordered a T48SL .9mm. However if you get the swiss, you can't get the spring loaded crown because the swiss movement (I THINK) has a 1.2mm thread stem and currently T doesn't make crowns that fit.

An A7750 stem will fit the swiss movement. or you can also order a 0.9mm swiss stem so I don't see the problem.
