wow... that's a nice combo mate!
Wear it well!

That is a great looking strap mate!

Thanks for all the kind words!
Yes it's probably a keeper and Theo you are right........the white is soo much better than the silver rep one. I don't understand why they don't paint the rep dial white instead of silver.
Yes Furu you are right as well.... the strap is spot on....... it's a gen

I'm sure it will fit the movement but I doubt if it will fit the case.
-
Sooooo nice! How did you mod the movement to fit the gen dial?
Thanks guys!
For the modding of the movement you can look here: http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/115655-ultimate-modded-watch-finished/

Just finished a new franken Navy.
it's the standard AP sec@12 model with a modded movement to fit the gen dial.
I also made the crown and pushers darker blue like the gen and finished it with a brand new gen strap.
Love it!
Cheers,

I'm sorry to say but I think this project sucks.
(unless I see a finished product!)
First of all you need a gen dial to make it work. If not, don't even bother.
The date window will not line up and it looks as stupid as a gen dial on a sec @ 12 movement.
Also you will have a problem with the hands.
The chrono hands can be modded but the problem is the minute and hour hands.
The rep hour hand is 2.00mm and the movement needs 1.20mm
The rep minute hand is 1.20mm and the movement needs 0.90mm
Good luck I would say. (if you look closely you can see that the hands are not attached)
Of course it can be done:

I also doubt if the chrono works properly because the gap between the pusher and the movement is pretty big.
I can hardley not believe that the little brass adaptor will work. If i remember well, the gap is like 5mm.
And......still no Cotes de Gen

I once dropped my IWC Da Vinci Rattrapante and f.cked up the movement.
It took them almost 17 months to repair it and the cost was more than

Love the shark strap. Was it an easy fit with the rep conversion kit?

I would wait with the safari.
The missing silver outline is something they will fix for sure. A lot of the models have it allready so why not this model?
The silver outline is really nice on my franken Black themes and it brings the dial to another level.
It makes such a difference if I compare it to the rep dial .
I see what you mean with the raised subdials. I never noticed untill now.
The black numbers wouldn't be an issue for me. I'm still not convinced that the gen is dark brown instead of black.
If you want the safari I would suggest to wait a little longer.
I also agree with you that the grey sub dials on the white rubber glad are too dark. This is the reason I used this watch for another project.
The silver date window is an very easy fix though.
Are my eyes fooling me or are the hands differend on the wrist pic of the rep? (not wheaton ones)

Reported..
If they don't pull it and the deal goes through, I do hope his excuse for selling it without papers becomes a reality..

Moved to the proper forum
...
Oeps.. .sorry mate!
This is what's wrong with it:
The hands are totally wrong. The lume section is way too big.
On each corner of the case back should be a gold mark.
The buckle has a wrong shape.
The engraving on the buckle should be straight and not curved.
The pivot point of the deployment is wrong.
The movement is wrong. The small seconds hand should be at 6 and not at 9.
The model he refers to does not even exist.
The price is totally wrong. If this model did exist, it should have a buy it now price between 15.000,- and 20.000,- and not 10.000,-
