Davidon's new 111H - 177H dial is here and I own one!
elisiX replied to tanya's topic in The Panerai Area
There is quite a bit of discussion about this dial from Little Hero @ the geek. Its expensive at $200 but look at it - nothing comes close really. It comes with the top dial only as stated. No back plate and therefore no lume either. Its important to get a nice colored lume also which isn't too ivory/yellow like DSN's above which is on my 176. I plan on grabbing Little Hero's 112 dial (he's making 112/111/210/183 I believe) to go into my DSN dial 176H. The ivory text on LH's dial will really make the difference to the current DSN dial I have on my 176 which is very much a crisp white. -
The pearl is one issue. The other is the seriously ridiculous tabs that dont even fit the cutouts in the bezel. Bloody annoying.

Tha Kodos from planet 'Panerai' have landed... New Dials...
elisiX replied to V's topic in The Panerai Area
I dont have one of these dials.. I believe my 201/A is a DSN dial which CC had assembled. Im pretty damn happy with it. My only wish is that the daylight lume color was more yellow/ivory. I'd love to grab one of the 202 dials though. Very nice. -
DSN's dials are generally pretty damn good. It could do with a nice thick crown but other than that, its not too bad IMO.

Thanks BROM. I've decided I must have a white dial so this Navi is most probably going to be it. Josh's listing for that ETA7750 Serie Special Navi is "Made to order". The A7750 model which may be in stock, is not brushed. The reason im keen on it is the fact its brushed from the factory, has an ETA movement and an ETA DW (can still hunt for a lello). When I find a lello I can then have it pulled apart and the AR done. The alternative is a 6.75 Bentley and get the AR done and it'll be set. hmmmm Here is the A7750 version which as I said, is polished. And the ETA again.. I would hope that it being custom ordered that I might be able to swing Josh to ensure the AR is done well?
-
Would anyone have further opinion on my last post? Really liking the look of this Navi. Any idea's on sourcing a Lello DW for this? Obviously it would require the AR to be redone by one of our modders.
-
This for example mate? http://www.pc88clone.com/bl10042-navitimer...ing-p-1872.html ETA7750.. Brushed.. ETA DW (how hard would it be to source Lello's).. No Sunken DW. Cant see one with Blue subdials, only this with Black.

This is very tempting. I have a genuine black dial in my Franken SA and its certainly worth it. DISCOVERY110 on here sells these dials also but I cannot recall his price. I have been thinking about swapping this black dial for white so might have a black dial for sale cheap than his asking price for those interested.

Thanks for the comments guys. One day my Breitling collection might catch up to my PAM's Future plans are; 1. Flying B w/ black dial and fit the genuine black calf from my SA and add a genuine deployant buckle. 2. Purchase and fit a genuine Pro II bracelet to the SA. 3. Purchase and fit a genuine Ocean Racer strap and/or Brown Calf strap + deployant for the Skyland. 4. Bentley 6.75 w/ white dial and have the crystal sent our for AR love. I might just stick with the ocean racer strap on the Skyland though as im thinking of switching it for a blue dial rather than the grey. I love the grey but its so similar to my Chronomat Evo. And the Evo has to be graphite!. No TT watches for me thanks. lol If I bought a Navi i'd have to have a flush date so finding the right movement in a Navitimer would be the problem then. I think the Navitimer world would be my choice in blue dial. I've also considered swapping out the genuine black dial on the SA for a white dial. I would have too many black dial Breitlings otherwise. If I go with the 6.75 Bentley tho, I wont need to. Took some more in different light after the previously posted.

Hi All, My new Skyland arrived today so I took a few group pictures and solo's as well. I had not originally planned to buy the grey dial Skyland as you will see in the following pictures, all my Breitling dials are quite similar in color/tone. The SA is black, BCE graphite and as I said, Skyland in grey. Ideally i'd like a white dial SA, blue dial Skyland and the graphite BCE but hey - it aint all that bad all the same. Not the best lighting but you get the idea.

RobbieG has a very nice gen collection!

Some great suggestions so far and the most important being regarding the Fu case. I have just this week received a 001B with Fu case, Palp crown and modded by The Zigmeister (which came from FGD) and also a 201/A with DSN best dial (correct indices), V CG and Palp crown. I'll be taking a bunch of shots this weekend and lll pop them up for your reference (and to show off a little). You are on your way to having 2 of the most incredible PAM's.

I prefer the geek to be honest but you dont see me indirectly slagging this place over there.. Dont make this an us vs them thread.
-
Dont know... but it'll be back up eventually. In the meantime, read/post/contribute here instead.
-
Yup - please PM with price!.
-
Very nice. I think when I order I might just grab the ETA7750 also. Can you PM the price please including this movement?

My 201A after RobertB's amazing refinishing job
elisiX replied to jaykeem's topic in The Panerai Area
RobertB @ RWG / Brobert @ RG is just a member with some handy skills. Not a modder. As per RG - looks fantastic Jason. Now how hard would it be for you to build me something just like this The Zigmeister? Im obviously a big fan seeing as I buy everything you touch!. lol -
Spectacular watch mate. Very impressive. Would love to see it on a deep blue Croc.
-
I have both black croc and vintage brown croc OEM straps for my 188 Daylight and 176 which fit this easily enough. Gen buckles on them too. lol
-
Thanks for the comments. The leather really has transformed the watch. Still love it on the SS also however the leather just takes it to another level. And yes, 7753 fully modded by The Zigmeister with a genuine crown and lello DW.
-
Hi All, Well while I obviously knew that by removing the bracelet from my heavily modded PAM236 i'd have a PAM250 I never tried it - until today. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Jay

My current collection.. almost.... Modem Killer!
elisiX replied to kye_lin's topic in The Panerai Area
Fantastic collection mate. Seriously some incredible PAM's there. I can only dream of getting to that point with my PAM collection. lol you dont want to sell any of them do you? -
Black w/ Genuine Black Croc I think for me.. w00t .. or maybe Brown w/ Genuine Brown Croc.. hmm
-
Looks great. Thanks for the mini review mate. Would love to see a blue dial!. Looks like the brown is the go-er though.
