  1. Yes, please share the tips of cleaning up phonebook Just delete them away? HA HA. Yeah I think I got what you mean, the multiple fields are there for a reason Anyway, if you have good tips, please share.
  2. Glad that you like it Indeed, we should plan for more of such GTG. @Samurai: yes, we are really eager to see your watches I hope to see you again for the next GTG.
  3. have to be careful not to get scratched then... Alright. Thanks a lot for the tips. Again... I don't think this is gonna be my primary phone. EDIT: I have more than 1000 contacts and it may not even fit this phone Nevertheless I will manage to get it running.
  4. Glad to know... I will try the USB upon receiving the phone. To date... No phone Waiting is part of the game but having to solve this sync problem, it saves us a lot of time. PS: Even this phone doesn't have Java installed. You need third party programme. I will not suggest everyone to buy this phone. Leave it as phone... (sms, call, mms, wap surfing) and that's it! Anyway, can you tell if the crystal is sapphire not plastic?
  5. Anyway, which phonebook did you sync too? I am using Outlook (not Express) and fields appear properly.
  6. Contrary to popular belief, this is by no means real Symbian OS. As straight_six pointed out, this uses MTK MT 6227 chipset (china phone).
  7. Found something Ultimate and will work! Via Bluetooth. It's newer version, supports multiple field: http://www.privileg.bg/download/SoftwareX6.zip No need to install. Just run the PhoneSuite.exe
  8. I see... then it's no point upgrading. I would say that this Vertu is not going to be my main phone. I am spoilt with the robustness of Series 60 Symbian. However, again, syncing number is very important. So far I think this is the best solution (downloading the Mediatek MTK PC Suite). Now I am trying out MTK Tool and see how it will work.
  9. There is an update for this software... It seems that this firmware is very robust. 80% of all chinese phone uses this one (including copy N95, N82, 6300, iPhone copy, etc.).
  10. Here is the MT6227 software. It won't work via USB due to failed COM port emulation. http://perlhosting.net/download5/2d969410.html
  11. I have some space Thanks for sharing.
  12. Thanks... Photos courtesy of Siesta. Sinn is gen but there are more than 1 gen watches here.
  13. We have the GTG today! A total of 4 members attended this GTG (small group but AWESOME). They are coolfire, caracarnj, siesta and me. Very nice to meet you all. We have good time and definitely this won't be the last The food is good, plenty of choices and reasonably priced. Here are the pictures that we took at the basement carpark... We got chased out of the Cafe Too bad for those who can't attend today but worry not, more GTGs planned in near future. Keep the suggestions coming. Have fun! and can't wait to see you again: Anyway... One question for non attendees. Spot the gen!
  14. no general preference but I would say OK to mix breed My fav are labrador retriever (they get too friendly sometimes) and rottweiler. How dogs behave depends a lot on the owner. Agree with that. And dogs do have feelings and special traits too.
  15. Ok... I got 1 way. Copy 250 contacts to Sim Card, transfer it to the Vertu. Delete all contacts on SIM card, then copy the remaining data. Problem: I usually stores multiple numbers under 1 name and other fields as well (email and address). SIM card doesnt support this extended and more complex contacts. The best way is to get it work to sync with PC. Anyway, please have a look at official Vertu website. There are 2 different Accent Ti listed ( * RM-267V * RM-467V )
  16. Ok... then only saved to sim card will work.
  17. I mean I just made payment and will try it on my Nokia PC Suite when it arrives.
  18. The gen comes with rubber strap... Well... the 2008 version is different from IWC for Boesch. The brown dialed, brown strap Aquatimer is rare. Limited to 100 pieces. The Aquatimer 2008 Cousteau Divers Chronograph looks like this:
  19. Like what b16a2 said... It's all about $$$$$ (profits).
  20. Just got the brown colour. Will confirm if it can sync using Nokia PC Suite. I have all my numbers stored on my Exchange Server and the way to sync it to the phone is either via USB cable or Bluetooth.
  21. Less than 1 day See you tomorrow!
  22. that won't work for this phone. Series 40 is very very limited in terms of stack and heap size. Bottom line: this is the phone only for basic phone function. Only the style, brand, prestige and materials matter in this case. Go back to Panerai vs Casio arguments Is GPS a usual phone function? No.
  23. indeed I will check it out definitely.
  24. Agree... Latest Ti is not bad tho (have seen on DeWitt and Corum). Simply the cost gets too expensive?
  25. I am guessing so. The battery could very well be a rebranded Nokias Well... I won't be surprised that this may even come with already excellent battery. Those Nokias are now made in China too.
