cacar, since we are meeting this Sunday, I don't mind having a look at the watch.
-
try running the chrono and reset it again. Can be loose chrono second hand counter. Fix: Get the hand reset (have to decase the movement, remove the hand and set it back again). Sometimes a little bit of epoxy at the pole is required too.
-
Count me in for 2 Ti and 2 SS. Does this strictly for ETA6497 based? Will it fit ETA7750 stem too?
-
Just to chip in... Saw one at an AD, and I can tell you like most HBB reps, this one is SPOT ON. Yes, no logo at the side too. The RG version however, carries this logo. No logo on tantalum.
-
Either a Lange 31 or.... a much more subtle and civilised Vacheron Patrimony in platinum.
-
hehe I really like Ti watches and considering to add some more to my collection. The Breguet XXL is a nice watch but too bad wrong subdial spacing and sunken datewheel kinda put me off. maybe a Dewitt? But this will be too big for me too. Have seen one in person and definitely it's a watch that you don't see very often.
-
agree... They may have mixed up picture. The last picture is J series with 7750 based movement (check out rotor pole and regulator). Gen 63 uses EETA2893 based.

i am not in the west... will be further north for me Used to stay at Lakeside then Buona Vista but now moved out already.

It's a diver's strap, you can email Angus for one.

Try the shop at Golden Mile Complex, second floor Anyway, good to see this going. I am not so concern about bringing reps there.... The authorities got bigger things to worry. Instead of catching us, they mite as well looking for Selamat K*st*r -i. @repfreak: email sent.
-
Yes it is... Infact the price has been in line on what's in the market currently. What do you mean by blue lume? Is it the glow? This is what RC Tritec offers:

Welcome Repfreak! Feel free to join us and we will be glad to be your company. Please PM me your email address too so that I can add you to the mailing list. PS: I am probably the youngest

I have quite a few of them. My first Ti rep is Breitling Chrono Avenger (this is not my first one... The first one comes with black dial but I don't have the picture of it): I still have both of them. Then bought myself a PAM036 from Kelster: I sold this one and bought another one back.... The new one comes with bad dial, regretted it and I guess it needs replacement soon. The next Ti is IWC GST Ti Chrono: I still have it till today. My Ti love doesn't end there and bought myself a Seawolf Ti (still have it): Another rare oxidised Ti: Then there is quite a long vacuum, the next Ti rep is another Panerai (089, with missing tick mark at 9): (no picture), still have it too My first gen Ti watch, PD by IWC Moonphase chrono: Sold it at very low price but what's the point of having a watch that you don't wear. At this point of time, I am a bit crazy with IWC watches... Got myself another Ti Ingenieur AMG Chrono: Movement is dead... I will try to revive it again with graphite solution... Genuine dial and hands ready for transplant. I think Ti is my love. Got myself a genuine Omega SMP Ti with electric blue dial. I was torn between this piece or America's Cup: ==== Moving to Germany, got myself my first Ti watch there: Sold it to Laz later on... I really really really like this watch but too bad size puts me off. If it's 44mm, I will keep it surely. My next genuine Ti watch, got it while I was in Germany: Still have it and it's a keeper for me Well... I think that's all if I remember all watches correctly. Most Ti watches stay with me.

Alright. So it's fixed. Sunday, 24 August 2008, noon, The Cafe located at The Legends, Fort Canning Park. I need to have a fix number of attendance so that I can make the bookings. I am in too Please express your interest here too (not only PM). At the end of this Friday I will send email to all attendees.

the bar is closed for lunch... So do you agree if we book the place at the cafe and pay 30 bucks for the lunch? I know it's on the high side but I am sure the food will be good
-
More info here: http://www.legendsfortcanning.com/fortcanning/f&b.htm @alant: indeed, sorry that you can't make it this time round but I am sure there will be another one
-
Alright... No problem. So which one? Chinese restaurant or cafe or pubs? I have many others expressed their interest to attend this GTG via PM. 6 So far.

Thanks alant for your help So what say you? We just gate crash to the Legends? As alant stated, the place is quite big. It's 1 week to go and I am not expecting a big crowd (so reservation may not be necessary at all). I guess many will still prefer city area to Changi airport but I don't mind going there If we have a good one, the next one should not be difficult at all. Speaking from personal experience, attending a GTG worth every cents/every seconds spent. It is just a totally new paradigm and is a different experience from meeting up "online".

Bump for more exposure Need to wait confirmation for the Legends. If it's not confirmed, we have to look for alternative venue.

I would really suggest ample of time in the afternoon... Considering the next day is a working day @Stephane: ah yes! It would be my greatest pleasure to show you the sight in Singapore Hot, humid and... full of concrete jungle You are welcome here anytime.
-
Have added you to the mailing list. Anyway, the time... good question. Lunch will usually cost lower than dinner
-
Agree on what Slay wrote. I can vouch for the clothes that the real deal doesn't cost that much Just shop around and you will never know you can get a really good bargain. For example, Burberry pants: 20 dollar (yes, it's gen). Armani suit: 100 dollar (yes, it's gen too). Where to shop? A town in Indonesia called Bandung. Even in China, you can find these bargain too (gen item, excess stock, to be destroyed but sold locally). Why are they priced that way? Extra stocks which usually are not for sale, somehow got their way to "local boutique/factory outlet".

Skyland Dial Colours - Popularity of Grey
takashi replied to cornerstone's topic in The Breitling Area
Perhaps too many black dial in the collection? The blue colour has the tendency for wrong shades of blue and the black one is too... black? -
I went to The Legends today to check out the place. Basically it's big enough and plenty of space to accomodate all of us. Check out this link: http://www.legendsfortcanning.com/fortcanning/functions.htm I am sure we won't need the ballroom Another problem is the booking has to be done by members and costs per person is about 20 bucks (cafe - light refreshments provided). I am not a member so can't place reservation. Anyhow, it's really a nice and cosy place. I will be fine with CBD too (without booking). Yes, I can attend on the date that coolfire suggested. Put my name there.
