Aquired a vintage Seamaster Calender on the bay
takashi replied to ChipWrecked's topic in The Omega Area
It's a good price when in working condition; it's not gold but the plating really can last. -
Buy the gen Or this one is the one that I am currently working on:
-
@CBR: That is indeed a good deal IMHO. You can consider getting GO (Glash

themuck knows his stuff well

I agree... Optical illusion. Picture taken with flash and I am very very sure that it is a gen article. Seen the real watch without stickers... It's engraved.
-
Another wristshot from me: Stock photo: Lume is not that crazy though (C1 instead of C3 like on Panerai): The glossy mark on the dial is an antimagnetic symbol. Nice watch, wear it in good health. I regretted selling this piece, especially now the price has gone up a lot. Lack of running second can be a drawback for many.
-
Indeed... Buying a gen only because of this matter is totally not recommended. As I said, he has reps and may also love to see other watches on your collection.

Well... If no function rooms available, I think we can go to restaurant/hotel again. Any news on Corporthone?? It's best if we settled this ASAP. Anyway, I will be going for this one too: http://sincerewatchacademy.webhostsg.com/courses.asp The one on 11/9/2008, 7pm. If you are interested, we can meet up there too.

Looks like a Tag on the clearest picture. Well... Railmaster is possible.
-
It's more popular with youngsters (about my age) and it's all about fashion I believe... I don't like it but some watches do look good on BUND strap (Similar design but not like that).
-
I will say just move on and try not to bring up the subject about the Skyland again. As some have suggested, forget about wearing the watch again. Perhaps some day you can brought this topic about rep watches too and perhaps show him your collection
-
I think I have bought a Piaget rep from River. It has ETA7001 manual wind movement (really thin) and also small... Well... I would recommend PP Nautilus if you are looking for something thin and classy.

Tried today with Singtel and Starhub. Both work like charms. I think the problem is with M1 sharing database with Vodafone (to blacklist this IMEI number). Suggested solution: get a phone modder with that dongle (Infinity Box running Chinese Miracle software) to change the IMEI number to non blacklisted one. You can get such numbers from: a. Broken GSM mobile phone. b. Randomly generated IMEI no. c. Google The costs of changing IMEI here ranging from 20-40 SGD and I will try that service soon.
-
Well... No chance to upgrade to Symbian OS. This one really has a China chipset called Chinese Miracle One solution is to change the IMEI to a valid one (seems this one has blacklisted IMEI with M1) but you need special software and dongle from Infinity Box. I will try with Starhub SIM card today.
-
More observation: screws are indeed a bit rough. Doesn't work with M1 - Singapore (Vodafone) sim card. Sim card registration failed.

I would try to squeeze the budget to get a preowned Rolex SD

I got mine usually from newsgroup It's a paid subscription monthly but you get the latest, the best. 1080p files are big (usually 8Gb and up like Ajoesmith stated) and you need a decent computer to run it. Furthermore, if sound is also a concern, don't go HTPC path as there is still limited capability on outputting the DTS HD or Dolby Digital HD (you got only PCM or normal DTS/DD). My recommendation, get those HD DVD on sale or go the PS3 route (however, there are many tests/reviews done, the Bluray playback on PS3 is mediocre...). For sample of 1080p clips, I can't help but to suggest www.apple.com/trailers Play it back using Quicktime or you can use K Lite Mega Codec Pack too (for PC XP/Vista... for apple just run it using your in built quicktime). Choose those HD (usually about 100Mb files for 2-3 minutes trailer). Good luck.

Glad that it has arrived after 2 failed delivery attempt. Big thanks to Sql_Pl for arranging this buy. My initial thoughts are as follow: 1. Phone is really heavy. Took a while to get used to its weight. I am pretty sure that it weights more than 200 gram. 2. The brown colour is really nice, match perfectly with my genuine Sinn 203Ti strap. 3. Software is a bit crappy (definitely not Symbian). A dead giveaway. 4. The floodlit keypad is nice. 5. Potential problems of the "chromed" button and grill discolouring (not yet happen but it can happen). I am sure it's not real metal/stainless for the button. 6. Nice exterior build quality. Screws are tight on mine. 7. Best phone to show off I will post pics ASAP.

Well... I think it's not the camera (I used a very old Nikon E5200 point and shoot) and just recently upgraded to DSLR with stock supplied lens. Lighting is very important as well as steady hand/tripod. Most of my shots are done in Auto mode

Watch out this thread for update

That sucks... I agree. Yes buying it warranty gives extra peace of mind. Be sure to check it thoroughly, some cars already crashed before and not repaired properly. Check out service log too and of course it's worthy to compare price online (I am not sure if you have price comparison online specific to your country).

This phone is based on MT16xx series chipset which powered about 80% of chinese phone. We manage to get it Sync with PC software (not the supplied one). As for specs, you can refer to the thread in this Off Topic forum. Don't expect something extraordinary. This phone has an outdated technology. I bought it only for the looks, feel and second phone. It does serve basic phone function and you can expand it using MicroSD/Transflash card.
-
Well... Let's see that this issue will be resolved soon (PP dispute). Such things bother me quite a lot.

Sorry for the wrong statement. I stand corrected. Yes, longer range but less bandwidth.
