None of the current batch SMP is good. I repeat... NONE. Main flaws centre on He Valve placement as well as rehaut depth, pearl and lousy bracelet. Take note of m on the Seamaster too.. It's more like Seanaster.

The pearl is not from Watchesandparts. From the picture, I would say that this pearl looks more even and more domed (the refilled one looks uneven with different "brown" colour and flatter). I have not seen the pearl from Watchesandparts personally but maybe someone has real life higher res pictures so that we can compare?

Yes, you can change it with spring bar tools or even with 1.2mm flat head screwdriver. You can get the replacement strap from HK Tan pilot's style (cost you about 150 dollar).

I think they have done the transition from 850 to 1900 a few years ago. So mostly GSM in the USA now are using the 1900 Mhz. It has longer range therefore it is the preferred frequency. Anyhow, it works in Europe and most Asian countries too. Their band is 900/1800Mhz.

@lewis: I agree with you And thanks for sharing your thoughts. However, given the limited resources to get parts in rep world, it's good to make use of whatever available to us. I agree that the first step is to check the watch first. However, I can see that the problem is like you have stated, the central tube and hand shaft is too loose, hence needs small amount of epoxy. And I agree... don't glue the hands to the movement). This problem is pretty common on our reps.
