  1. I will be very convinced on the case of a rep vs gen Breitling (really close) but still the reps usually fall short on details such as number stamping on the dial, lume quality, hands quality and so on. Even the datefont, the rep has correct font but the colour is wrong. The gen comes with charcoal/anthracite colour datefont.
  2. www.rctritec.com Look no further.
  3. Yes, it comes with aged genuine dial Love that tritium look.
  4. Strap is RIOS Art Manuel Sharkskin.
  5. Thank you for your compliments. Case is standard MBW (I believe is one of the newer one), He valve is actually non working, some older MBW case actually have gen like construction (I think Nanuq wrote about it). CG is trimmed, lug holes not yet drilled, He valve modified. Total of 4 persons have laid hands on this watch (to do work on it) and I really and truly thank them all. PS: I don't care about getting called out but I do enjoy wearing this 1665 a lot. It's a big head turner sometimes.
  6. Very nice Tribal... I have been waiting for this for quite sometime. Remember I told you last time that I don't like the Rolex engraving on the rehaut Seems now we have a winner here.
  7. Just recently took these pictures: Tritium vs Luminova, took the insert from 16660 Don't know why... The 1665 seems to be a winner for me. Don't care about the Comex on the dial (just very surprised to learn the value of the gen article). I keep wearing 1665 most of the time.
  8. Was on the verge of selling it last time. Tried to fixed the insert then screwed up both bezel and case. A member here helped me out with parts (watcher13). Created a twin and this one was put on a new case, new crystal double AR and gen tube+crown. Enjoy:
  9. already installed
  10. have gen bezel insert for 16800 with tritium pearl. It doesn't seem to glow anymore. But I agree... like on my Omega dial, it;s aged but it still glows dimly:
  11. I agree with no lume at all if you are looking for 100% accuracy to the genuine (non replaced) dial. However, it's really about taste, to me, I like my watch to be quite practical, to be able to see it in the dark is a good one to go. So here it is: daytime colour: It's even brighter than the gen replacement dial (with C1 lume) . Anyway, if you get an L Swiss L replacement dial, it should have white colour. Rolex didn't use other lume powder colour. I may even suspect that they mix the C1 lume with small amount of tritium.
  12. works for me using Firefox. File is too big IMHO.
  13. lovely watches, lovely ladies, lovely GTG Glad that you guys have good time. Same here in Singapore, we have to start small and more will come and it's just the beginning of more GTGs.
  14. I did AR on my piece. Sadly no pictures yet. This is the second last stage before I did AR and fixed the insert and install gen crown: I screwed up the case and has to change to new case. PS: First step is to install gen ETA DW.
  15. Well... It still has a couple of flaws (all reps does have flaws) but have to agree that it's very close to the gen article. You are getting a lot for this kind of money
  16. So according to him, he was away to Switzerland for a couple of days but still has not received the bracelet yet. Hope it doesn't get lost. His address is correct.
  17. Very positive that it's a gen. Can tell from bracelet quality, case and caseback quality as well as dial and crown and pearl. This is the older version that we are talking about with white Seamaster text and the Omega logo is not made of metal.
  18. But I don't think all hope is lost. What I would say is to maintain communication with buyer. Germany custom will definitely send him a letter if it's held (can be 1-2 weeks later). He can choose to ship the package back, provide more documents and pay custom fee.
  19. The last package was also sent by Registered Airmail. They are really strict in Germany. I bought 2 bracelet, 1 from Australia, the other from the US, both got stopped and I have no choice but to pay 19%.
  20. Definitely custom! They charge me also 19% tax for my 93150. They are really particular for something that has crown logo on it. Bottom line is; buyer WILL definitely receive letter from customs. And he has to settle it. Otherwise, package will be held/destroyed by customs/ if lucky returned to you or if really lucky buyer will get it after 1-2 months.
  21. No, the gen doesn't have the bad logo (i.e.: flat omega).
  22. what the hell!!!!!!!!!! Overpriced IMHO but judging from the last Rolex auction, this maybe a bargain
  23. For the money, you get a lot of bang for bucks on Wharfedale.
