  1. You need new hands from davidsen and DSN dial (if not for the lume consistency) would be dead spot on. As for crown, stay tune for T48 crown in Titanium. I have tried T60 crown and it fits this piece flawlessly.
  2. Indeed this is a very good rep and is a well made one. The only flaw apart from the day date font and the lume is the rehaut depth. If you compare it side by side with the genuine article, the rehaut depth on the gen looks to be shallower. Similar effect when comparing rep Breitling Avenger Seawolf Ti with the gen article Meanwhile, wear it in good health Pugwash. This is rep lume vs C1 on hands comparison:

    Say Cheese!

DSN case doesn't have that two exact position for movement clamps. Would say that it's an Alpha.
  4. No... You can tell except by running the chrono. The gen has ETA775x based so the minute counter will jump exactly at 60 seconds mark whereas on Asian 775x based, it will jump at around 57/58th second. (I have proven this to be the easiest tell ) and slightly weaker lume than the gen (very minute detail). The rep is very very very close. Otherwise, AR is also spot on. The tint, the intensity. This is indeed a SUPER REP.
  5. You mean when setting the time? If yes, that will be and ETA2893-2. That has incorrect handstack.
  6. won't fit due to different endlinks.
  7. Yes at 3 K i will take it.
  8. Tried before but still it looks not correct But then again looks is very subjective.
  9. be careful of tight customs too... Good luck (you need it).
  10. I would say that classic 3717 is closer to the gen article. The dial on spitfire has a couple more flaws. The number should be smaller, the subdial look (the concentric circle should be more and towards the centre). I would say best out of box IWC rep is the GST (small differences in dial, newer version comes with wrong datefont too) or Cousteau Divers 2006 (datefont). The Portugieser also is not flawless... you need to take care of the dial and inner bezel ring tick.
  11. SSD v2, Asian ETA clone, Hontwatch, 130USD without shipping.
  12. I would say wait for dealer's instruction. Shipping the watch back requires sometimes a valid address, only dealer can instruct you to ship it to whatever address (if this is the solution).
  13. It depends on which reps. There are rare gems for cheap replica watches too. To me, suit my/your own budget and your liking and get the watch.
  14. My mum wears it that way too. She said it's easier to see the time (I don't know why).
  15. Willing party I should say... Will he change his mind if you would have told him that it's a franken? If not, then sell it
  16. That also won't happen
  17. Agree with Andy. If this is replicated, will be the day when pig flies.
  18. I want one... Seriously, it's a very very nice watch.
  19. My deepest condolences Capice. May she rests in peace.
  20. Maybe this one is the most surprising part Comex glows brighter: PS: Due to lume mixture, C1 turns out to be the weakest link.
  21. I am in for some more T60 and T48. Yes, it fits DSN case Ti. As for the stem, actually ETA/Asian 7750 can be fitted with 1.2mm stem too (it comes with 2 sizes from ETA). But ALL Asian 7750 based reps that I have seen all comes with 0.9mm stem. Yes, you need new stem for most of the case (I have fitted on a few PAM auto and manual wind, all need new stem). Unless you want to glue to stem thread to the crown to adjust the length, then you need new stem.
  22. This seriously needs to be bumped out Good luck for the world GTG event. I am trying very hard to see how should this work out. Firstly, long haul flight, secondly, visa expired (only have to UK, no more Schengen countries).
  23. Ah good question... This should be directed to Kelster who did excellent job in the hotel room at 2 am in the morning More details here with video: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=76163&st=0 It turns out that this case doesn't need to be drilled so the countersink needs not be recreated. Just retapping the case to install tube will do. I have learnt that there are several version of MBW case. They are not the same. Some case needs to be drilled before retapped (in this case, won't be a straightforward job). I really owe this to the experts present in Germany. Awesome job they have done.
