Am I correct that the 2846 doesn't equipped with hacking fucntion, or is it the one I have is defective? Can any experts here give some advice please?
Thanks.
Yes, you are correct. The only chance is to get it from your supplier if he/she still supply.
So better to take care of your rep. crystal in case your watch case doesn't accept gen. parts.
To get a perfectly working movement of this watch is purely by luck. The only long lasting solution is to swap for a gen. vj23 if you are willing to invest the money, but then other issues .... case size, hands etc. will start to pop out too which has been discussed in details in the Forum.
Mostly likely the rep crystal is thinner than the Tropic in this case. Then the metal part where the crystal wil sit is machined larger in diameter to accomodate the rep plexi. There can be no fix here unless you trim down the thickness of the Tropic which I think would be extremely difficult.
Is the CG correct? ETA2836-2 in it?
Can the bezel be easily removed for pearl change? The latest CN Sub has a theft proof bezel construction making removal is almost impoosible unless you want you want kill the bezel ring.
Any idea?
Can some Rolex experts share some idea what is the difference between P-402 and P-502? It is said the former is for the Zenith movement whilst the later is for the cal.4130. Should there be any dimension difference between the two?
Thanks.
Saw a seller claiming a gen. Tropic 19 superdome for 5513, is it correct? Does the T19 has a superdome version?
Thought superdome only applies to T39 for SD.
One more question, it 2836-2 and 2846 interchangable? Just a straight swap will do the job? But I think the date wheel has to be taken out from the rep to put onto the 2846 as the date position is different on the ETA date wheel. Am I correct? I am referring to the 1665 and 1680 in this case. Thanks.
Any experts got the idea of what kind of coating is it on the matt dial (often found on the vintage Rolex dial) which gives the kind of powder like touch/texture?
Thanks.
Gen Rolex rivet bracelets do not use screws. They the links are held by punch-head pins. Once the pin is worn out, then that particular link is dead. RSC can no longer service these bracelets coz no parts available anymore.
Shall there be a rubber gasket to be placed underneath the bezel to get waterproof since there is definitely a welded grove on the case. But none of the MBK cases come with this rubber gasket.
Any idea? Thanks.
Still don't quite get it. The stem release button is on the back side of the movement. Even if by removing the hands and dial, how to turn the movement to the back side? There shouldn't be enough room to tuen the movement 180 degrees with the stem attached. Did you see how your watchsmith do it?
