  1. Per today's Rolex spec, no rubber ring between the tube screw and the tube hole. This can be confirmed by unscrewing the tube from the Sub/Daytona.
  2. Adjusting the links on the VCO bracelet is simply nuts. Most likely you will end up with a useless piece of junk with all the screws stripped. I am using mine as a drilling protector already.
  3. You must be kidding. A PP staff doesn't know the Jumbo shouldn't have a second hand on it, and it is "Swiss" and not Swiss Made printed on the dial? This is unbelievable. This whole sales team should be fired. There is no way the quality and finish of the MBK case is close to the gen. This can be easily proven by looking at both the flanges on sides. I am am not saying the MBK is no good, it is still an excellent piece of work in the rep world, but there is just no way and no point when comparing with a gen PP. I may get flammed from this post as I know there are simply so many die hard MBK PPNJ fans here. But just want to point out it is meaningless to exaggerate the superiority of just a rep 99.9% equal to the gen. And we are talking about PP here, comon.
  4. Yes, you do. If it doesn't come out with a thumb push, then a press is needed. Good luck.
  5. Confirm it is necessary to trim down the retention ring in order to fit it onto the gen. T19. Pressing by force without rimming will just warp teh ring and it will never sit flush to the bottom of the case surface.
  6. Dirk, Thanks for the info. Does this apply the same to the 1680? You know why I ask. Cheers.
  7. Want to change the crystal of the MBK 5513. Any idea how to remove the bezel ring? Is it just a simple snap off by a razor/knife blade? Does it a pressing machine to put the bezel back on afterwards or again a snap on by hand will do the job? Thanks.
  8. Yes indeed, it is my project. But getting the right case is almost impossible unless go for the gen. It will cost a fortune. I have my 6239 now ticking nicely but then the watch case with the big chrono pusher cut outs, it will never pass any serious Rollie experts. BTW, it took me over one year to complete works will all the gen parts.
  9. Nice watch, Freddy. Wonder what is the watch case you used for your 6241. Is it the DW for the 6263 as well? I am also building this project which I found problem with the DW case - the chrono openings on the case are not correct for the 6241 pushers, they are designed and cut to the spec to fit the big chrono pushers. For fitting the old style pushers teh cut outs should be much smaller on the case, if you see what I mean. Basically DW doesn't supply cases with spec for the 6239/6241, they are for the 6263/65 etc. with the big pushers. Though your 6241 is still stunnning. Congratulations.
  10. Can't get access to the site since last night. Unable to make payment yet. Do you have the same experience?
  11. Don't quite get why the T39 is so expensive even for Clark's while his other Tropics only cost a couple of bucks. Is it really that difficult to make the superdome sharp? Or is it just purely a supply/demand issue?
  12. Does the 28XX series ever has a closed top cannon pinion? Don't seem to have ever seen one.
  13. But then you will have the second hand pin visible, which looks odd.
  14. Has anyone ever succeeded in opening up the case back of the PPNJ? Wonder how to pull the stem out for movt service. If it is an ETA inside, the stem got to be released by pressing the release button on the back of the movement. Without opening the case back, got no clue how this can be done.
  15. The quick setting date function on the movement is dead, what can be done now? Repair experts come in please. Thanks.
  16. Get the MBK 3710! By far it is the most accurate PPN with the correct dial, size, hands and right with the second hand too. Wonder why nobody ever showed any interested in this piece?
  17. As titled. Any idea shoud it be C1 or C3 or C1/C3 blend? Thanks.
  18. No shipping and payment instructions yet?
  19. Hi Chief, I am in for one. Please PM me full details on the payment and address. Thanks.
  20. Hi Rep, Any idea if the gen. 127 crystal will fit the latest version MBK 1680? The cyclops will line up correctly with the date window? Thanks.
  21. Thanks Rep. It is quite clear from the picture it has a metal ring on the pearl on the 5513. Nevertheless, I will take your words and stick with inserts w/o ring for a sure gen. item. Cheers.
  22. And how about this? 5513
  23. Thanks. So this is no gen.? 5513 insert
  24. But you will see inserts with metal ring on the pearl in the gen. 5513 etc. as listed in the bay. Are these upgraded by the RSC?
  25. What does the pearl really looks like in the gen insert? I saw some has the metal ring and some don't. What are the variations? Thanks.
