  1. Hi Joe, Glad to have you comments here. In this case, after tapping and have the new tube installed, will the crown seat flat against the case after tightening onto the tube? Please advise. Thanks. This the picture previously from avitt.
  2. Thanks guy. Now I know I am in deep sh_t coz I am no good at doing this kind of metal work. I am a bit lost here about using a drill bit. What is it actaully and how does it work? Does it mean I have to make the tube hole on the case a deeper "V" shape for the new tube to seat flat against the case? Some pics on how to do this job would be most help. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks avitt. Sorry, I don't get the meaning of re-tapping. Can you explain in an easier understanding?
  4. Just got Cousins tube for the DW case, but the threads on it don't seem to fit. Cosuins' tube is supposed milled to the gen Rolex spec, and DW's case will accept gen. parts. Anyone has this experience? Do I just force screw the tube onto the case will do the job? Any help please.
  5. Sorry, it is necessary to swap both the hour wheel and cannon pin from the rep. to make it work? Thanks.
  6. Thanks again Ubi, Yes, I am talking about a gen. rivet bracelet here. How about the 7835 folded links? Also has to be expanded to remove the links?
  7. Thanks Ubi, So do I understand correctly that only the very last links closest to the clasp(on both sides?) are removable? Other links are fixed then? BTW, the folded link bracelet has the same problem for me, no screws on the links at all I think, makes length adjustment impossible except from the clasp. Am I correct?
  8. Any idea? I don't see any screws on the links for removal to adjust the length. I have a small wrist, length adjustment on the clasp only is not sufficient. Some links must be removed to fit. BTW, did the original 6263 ever fitted with a rivit bracelet? Thanks guys.
  9. A bit confused here. It seems that the problem lies in the threads between the case and the tube. Can I just screw a gen. crown onto the tube comes with the watch?
  10. Is the correct crown should be 24-703-0 - 7mm? Is it necessary to change the case tube as well? If yes, will the threads on the rep. case fit the gen. tube screw? Any idea?
  11. Forget it. He just send my money back after 2 weeks of waiting. Wonder if anyone made the payment ever actaully got the crown and tube!?
  12. Thanks Mark, My biggest concern is the position of the date window opening. The window size matches to that of the fonts on the rep date wheel? BTW, Mark, I am missing your comments on my PM to you. Please spare a minute to take a look please. Thanks.
  13. Will the 3,6,9 Navitimer(7750) White Dial fit the rep? Thanks.
  14. Thanks Ubi for your comments. BTW, I learned that you have the rivet brecelet to go with your Rollie, does the original 6263 came with this kind of bracelet? And will the one on the bay you mentioned fits DW's 6263 case coz the it has a lug width of 20mm.
  15. Thanks gentlemen. Now I fully understood. Thinking if I should a set now.....
  16. Hi, Can you infrom what is the ref. no. of the crown you are supplying? Thanks. Ubi, So the vintage and modern Daytonas share the same crown and tube?
  17. The tube may be used for the models you mentioned, but different models do not share the same crown. So it is necessary to specify the ref. of the crown too. Thanks.
  18. Thanks Ubi. But where to get a spare movement. I think it is no longer produced, right? Does it mean I have to buy an old watch and take out the vj23? I always have the question in mind that how does the 6:00 subdial hand fit since the vj23 only has 2 subdials. Is the 6:00 subdial hand glued onto the subdial? How about the gen dial? Will it fit onto the vj23 movt?
  19. Thanks guys for all the helps. Isn't it quite dangerous if there is no suitable replacement stem available on the market? Surely the stem can be easily prone to damage in the tube/crown changing. BTW, is it true that the gen 6263 dial won't fit the DW/gen vj23 movement becasue of different leg positions? Will the lug holes on DW case accept gen springbars? I come know that the end links now DW is fitting on the bracelet is "5678" i/o 571, is this OK and workable? Please kindly help again. Thanks, the PN experts.
  20. Thanks. Is it a simple straight forward swapping on the DW 6263 vj23 case for the Cousins' tube, or is it necessary to redo the threads to fit? And what stem should be used for the OEM 7mm crown to fit the DW vj23 movement? Thanks for the advice in advance.
  21. In case with the gen 24-703 crown, what stem should be used for the DW vj23 movement since this machine is baiscally a non-standard one on the usual market.
  22. Thanks for the information, avitt. I think the Cousins' tube will be more appropriated, right? The code # is 24-7030? For the crown matter, is it that any 7mm OEM Rollie crown is correct for the PN? Or do I have to specify 24-703?
