  1. Thanks to everyone who PM'ed me... I have replied to those I could (Chronus, your box is either locked or full so I could not reply). I did not realize that there was such pent up demand for the old (accurate) version wth the awesome 2892. I always found it to be one of the absolute best fakes I have ever seen. It is a great watch. One annoying thing about my particular watch is that the INSIDE of the case back is all scratched up. I never bothered ipening it untill a few months back (long after I got it) and saw that this was the case, it came that way from the factory. Now it is meaningless as it will NEVER be seen EVER but it still bugs me. I guess if I sell it the new owner could source a replacement back... Speaking of which. When I made that post I really had not thought about price or anything and I have to take some shots of it as well... So once I am ready to sell I will post some shots and have a price. Sorry for the false start, I need to look up what I paid and so on. Teevtee (TVT)
  2. I have an original 2892 based 007 SM from EL. It has been worn I would guess 2-3 times. Though I love the watch I have a couple of blue faced gens so for whatever reason I just don't wear it. On top of that I just ordered a PAM 87 from EL, again with a blue face. SO, if anyoen is interested in a 2892 007 SM with correct everything drop me a PM. It is a GREAT watch for sure. I only have a few posts here but have been around TRC and the other RWG forever. Teevtee
  3. Really? Cool! I did not know that they were saying it WOULD have the PVD screws on the face. If it DOES then I agree, the watch is damn nice from the front. I however doubt the back will have the proper hex screws. I REALLY hope I am wrong but without them it is a virtual deal breaker for me... simply because the stamped look is so cheesey. However if they do have the hex screws then sign me up.
  4. Thanks for the comparison... Just a poiunt for future comparisons, you may want to keep the orientation of the watches the same in all the shots. In other words always have the gen on the right and the fake on the left (or vice versa). You keep switching sides which makes it hard to always know which is which (on those back shots and so forth). Anyway, great job, thanks.
  5. >>>they will NEVER EVER do a Titanium version! <<< Why do you think that? They make fakes of almost every other titanium model IN TITANIUM. In other words using titanium is a common practice for fakes and it is even more common to hve the first gen of a fake be in the wrong material or have other MAJOR issues. My guess is that we will see a more accurate titanium model within 3 months.
  6. Well, there seems to be no clear answer here. Clive has seen it and says it uses genuine hex screws and yet ALL the photos CLEARLY show HORRIBLE fake, stamped hex screws on the back. Furthermore the fake seems to be missing the standard screws found on the FACE of the original (not the case but the face itself). So it seems that this new fake will have some "screwy" issues to corrct if it to be even close to the gen.
  7. I love the watch but what is the deal with the horrible fake hex screws on the back? Will these be replaced witht he real deal like the gen has? Clive, did you get a look at that? While I want to love this (and I sort of do) the addition of fake, stamped screws dampers my enthusiasm a bit.
  8. Great watch but you did post a pic of the fake and you are over paying. I guess if you just had to have it NOW that is OK but an AD really could lose his dealership by doing that. In fact I would ask him to sell it to you at retail or else you might just have to inform Panerai of what he is doing. Be discreet, say "I thought Panerai would not allow you to sell over retail..." I bet he comes around.
  9. Well I might as well make this my first post... I have not been active on the old boards for quite some time but still lurk around. No surprise of course that the old RWG went down, that was what, the fourth board we have seen come and go...at least some of us old timers. A few of you may remember me (teevtee) I have streamlined the ID to simply TVT... anyway, good to see you The Zigmeister, I look forward to your posts.
