I haven't been a chef, but when I was a young man I did wait tables in some excellent Napa Valley restaurants. In no way is 20 too old to start. In five years you could be a guy with 5 years of culinary experience, or you could be a guy who decided not to pursue it five years earlier. Just make sure you know that it is very hard work that will keep you in the kitchen for as much as 12 or 14 hours a day. Read "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain.

Definitely not a Smith 29. I have a Ruger P89 and I think that's likely too big too. That leaves one solution: Bigger clock!

After about 8 months of unemployment, I recently started working again. It turns out that I did get the job that I flew to LA to interview for. I now manage a lab in Oakland while my boss stays in LA. My Seiko SKX009 with the jubilee bracelet always has been good luck for me. Anyway, I am going to reward myself with a new watch. The finalists are these: 1: Tag Heuer Link Chrono (blue). 2: Breitling Skyland Avenger Chrono (grey or blue). 3: Ebel 1911 Chrono with the panda face. 4: Rollie Explorer II Facts which may figure in my thinking: I have several black faced watches already. I do not wear suits, nor even long-sleeved shirts. I almost always wear gen Seiko divers to work (due to the chemicals I work with). I recently bought one of Homer's bitchin tan python Breit straps, but don't yet have a Breit. The trigger will be pulled by Friday, the 13th. Thanks for your opinions.
