I have a high degree of trust for our mods and wouldn't object to their joining the raffles, but if I were on the mod team I wouldn't participate. Years ago, when I was in the army, I was working in my battalion's mailroom. My two colleagues organized a standard 10 x 10 grid Super Bowl pool with winners at the ends of each quarter and the game. Many soldiers put in their money and played. Well, one of my friends won for 2 quarters, and the other won for the other 2. All participants had the grid before the game started, and the whole thing was totally honest, but it did smell kind of bad.

What style does he like? Diver? Pilot? Dress? Chrono? It's hard to suggest something without knowing that. One can find decent gens in any of those styles in the price range.

This pic reminds me of something cool I saw a few weeks ago. I was having a drink at the bar in Patio Espanol -- a restaurant in San Francisco that doubles as the regional Spanish Cultural Center. The old Spaniard (about 70?) tending bar was wearing a stainless Tudor Sub that looked like he had worn it every day for the past 30 years. It didn't have too many deep scratches, but it carried a million little ones. Loved it.
