Thanks.

Was having connection issues yesterday. That image wasn't loading. :)

How long did you leave it in for?

8 minutes at 230 C, then 4 minutes 250 C ...

The hands: directly under the heat of the grill ... 20 minutes 250 C :)

btw, what is the case and coin trick?

Wow! Like gavidoc, I didn't see those pics last week. And I just realized you EU guys work on the centigrade scale. For us yanks, that would be 446 degrees, Farenheit, if my math is correct. That's a pretty hot oven!

We call it Celsius these days (after the Swedish guy who came up with it). And by "these days" I mean the last 60 years ;):p

Learn something everyday here!

Either way, it's still pretty darn hot. I would have figured 230 degrees F would have been hot enough.

20 years ago the US was supposed to convert to the metric system- by and large it still hasn't happened to this day. But at least w/ watchmaking, I'm learning a little bit more metric, day by day.

Watch model isn't available any more. Mine was 21j. From Narikaa.

Narikaa still carries that 1016 every now and then. I wish it were more widely available; it has the best dial of any <$200 vintage Explorer.

And your "aged" effect is still among the best I've seen, even after one year!
