JamesThailand Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 I piced this one up from another street vendor in Chinatown its the Subdate 40mm Blue dial/ceramic bezel with Swiss ETA 2892 I think everything look great except for the clor shade of blue might be a little off I hope in near future there should be some aftermarket part on the dial and beel so I could do some modification on the bright side, the luminova is great!
SilverG Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 actually that shade of blue looks just about right
indyberetta Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Looks good! I do think that you would have a better chance of finding a gen Rolex in Chinatown vs. a gen swiss ETA 2892 in a rep sold in Chinatown. Let's see that "swiss" eta inside! alligoat Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 The chinese have been repping the 2892-2 for quite a while now. WM9 is selling it as the KU-92. With a servicing, it would be quite a good movement. With this movement, the crown position on the side of the case ought to be correct.
jfreeman420 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) If this does have the 2892, is this a different version from the ones the dealers here have? Different case with better crown position? Damn nice looking watch BTW. Edited July 8, 2009 by jfreeman420
jnkay Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Jeez, you found that in ChinaTown? It's the same thing our dealers are selling. How much did you pick it up for?
