It's been soon for quite a while though. Does any one actually have any idea around when the new UNs will be out, or at least some sort of preview?

Things have been delayed; no idea for how long. Dealers will release them when they're ready. Until then... Not much anyone can do, except be patient or buy gen.

this model will be out at some time. Gens were bought to create them. But because of the economy, lots of the high end models have been put on hold.

Best i'm hoping for is the end of the year. we'd be probably getting them now if sales weren't so bad = i hear sales down 25%

On the other hand, if they actually came out with a watch everybody's been waiting for maybe sales wouldn't off so much. People have been clamoring for the MMD for what seems like an eternity. Personally, all my other watch buying is on hold UNTIL the UN comes out. Seems we're at a stalement. In the meantime if I can ever find a date wheel for a 42mm PO I'll content myself with finishing my franken PO project.
