gplracer
I recently acquired a DW6263 that was assembled by Spinmaster from another member. I replaced the stock crystal with a gen tropic 21 crystal. I then put a stainless bezel on as well. Edited August 16, 2009 by gplracer
rosnik
Is the mounvement a VJ 7750?
danzeman22
It is a 7750---> 7760 movement, i believe he removes a few parts and improves it to be more like gen e.g. the no hacking etc.... Looks great man, i still love the acrylic bezel though especially if you throw it in a bag of coins and add a bit of character Still looks fantastic. rosnik
Daytona is a Classic, and like all the 'real classic' do not follow a ''one moment'' fashion. I hope they nether get a bigger Daytona, (IMO )the SDDS experiment was dangerous jet. Take in count, that when the Daytona was born, the standard was 36/38mm caliber; it passed throw eclectic and electronic watches and ultra slim watches era too. They all died, and we lost memory about them , but Daytona is always here.

The watch is great (& I LOVE the picture), but I think it might be worthwhile to seek out a better bezel. The fonts look wonky on this 1, especially the too-widely spaced '110' (DW used to have more accurate steel bezels with the correct '110' spacing, but be careful because he also has some that have the badly skewed '90'). ubiquitous
A timeless classic! Looks absolutely fantastic! The 6263/5 has always been a personal favorite, right along with the old Carrera 12.
tmg
Thanks everyone for your comments. I really appreciate them. I really enjoy this watch. What is a good source for a better bezel? Very nice piece GPL!!! Congrats. I have 2 older DW bezels for sale in the parts area, you might want to eyeball them and see if you think they look better. You can make me an offer if you're interested.
