Pugwash
Are you tired of seeing this? If you want to emulate this, what you do is take your picture directly off your camera at 2000 or 3000 pixels wide and attach it to the post. However, if you don't want to do this, what you do is resize the image beforehand. I would suggest about 1024 pixels wide should be the largest you can be certain of attaching without annoying people. Definitely too big - 1920px wide: Possibly too big - 1280px wide: Not too big - 1024px wide:

dbutlerman
Hey Pug - This may be a dumb question, but, how do you attach the thumbnail sized photo that you click on to blow up? I've always used the "[ i m g ] [/ i m g]" method, but that way you don't get the cool thumbnail... Thanks DB2
Ronin
"Attached" images that you upload to RWG automatically thumbnail. -vs- Hotlinking with IMG tag.

gioarmani
Since it's still not being heeded, I--and I am not alone here--would love to see this function permanently disabled, as soon as possible. P4GTR
For those that aren't sure how to resize, it can be done quick and dirty like in "paint" which is on everyones windows based PC, so no excuses. Open the picture with paint. (Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint) Select Image > Stretch/Scew Change the 100 in horizontal and vertical to 35. Thats the number I usually default to. Save the picture. Voila! Thanks for posting this thread, it's helpful for both new and old members alike, just for different reasons.
